  1. Your efforts show quality work.
  2. That is a really nice box. The splines and the horse pattern make a great contrast and the finish pops!
  3. Heck Dick! You have been busy. Fantastic job!
  4. Love it!!
  5. Dick, you out did yourself! That came out great.
  6. Great job cutting this pattern.
  7. Stunning work. That is a whole lot of holes!
  8. Welcome to the village. Lots of helpful people and great information on this site. Looking forward to seeing some of your work.
  9. Very nice. Like the swivel hinge.
  10. Came out great! Really like the Umbria font. It cuts well.
  11. SSV is the only Social Media web site I have left. I dumped all the rest. I was feeling deprived. I'm glad you're back.
  12. I just finished a Valentine's Day project for my wife from Sue Mey pattern. It's a napkin holder. I added a red 1/8" plexi-glass backer to both sides. It cuts very well with an 80 tooth blade on the table saw and a #2 on the scroll saw. Attached to face piece with CA glue.
  13. Dick, you out did yourself with this beautiful artwork. Really like the frame. You just keep getting better and better!
  14. Wow! that's eye popping!
  15. Outright Stunning!!
  16. I made this heart box in 2019 for my wife. I cut several pieces of 3/4" Poplar for the sides and the top. Several coats of hand rubbed Black lacquer for the finish and she painted the top.
  17. You hit another one out of the park! Amazing!
  18. 1951 Bullet Nose Studebaker Champion I keep getting drawn back to the Studebaker car series. I have done a 57 Hawk and a 54 Champion (thanks to Charles Dearing design) The ’51 Champion and Commander models were one of the more innovative post WWII designs coming out of Studebaker. Raymond Lowey offered some interesting design elements to make it stand out from the Ford and Chevy models of the same year. The wrap around rear window and the “bullet nose” on the front grill gave the appearance of a recip. engine reminiscent of WWII fighter aircraft and added to the design. The Champion coupe model had a straight V-6 85 HP engine and the 4 door Commander had a V-8 120 HP engine. 1951 was one of Studebakers better selling year but their focus was changed with the Korean war that redirected production from commercial vehicles to military trucks and equipment. The Commander, with its larger 232 cu. Inch engine was later modified to become one of the earlier “Hot Rods”. The design is on the SSV library but I decided to do my own. I did my “paint in” technique on the tires and certain bridges. The grill was a challenge, more so because the size of the pixels didn’t allow for even holes and I had to draw them in and to nibble them in to even them up. Pattern is 1/8” BBPW on ¼” PW backer with shellac and Gloss Lacquer finish.
  19. Wow Dick, you have been busy. Love the horse.
  20. A wonderful job! Love the color and texture of the wood especially the finish.
  21. Outstanding. You just keep getting better and better!
  22. Frank, that is absolutely stunning. A masterwork!
  23. Great project. In days gone by it was not uncommon to see so many guys working on your car. Today, it's one guy with a PC and he's probably printing the bill before he's even touched the car!
  24. Regarding closing up the deck ports, they drove me crazy since I top feed and missed the correct hole and scratched up the deck. I filled them epoxy and that worked good but eventually the deck so scratched up any way that I purchased the white magnet sheets and cut to size. They come on a roll and I can get several out of that roll. It also solved the vacuum port holes also.
  25. Great looking transoms. Ours are out of glass and look nice but no airflow.
