  1. As fare as the drill size to match the blade I can check once I have the bits but I am trying to determine what size bits to order??? For the blades I have. Richard
  2. So I was just wondering about pin vises and what ones every one is using? And are you using the ones that go into a chuck or also the manual ones? And if so what brands are preferred? I see there are a lot on the market and certain ones can go down and up to different sizes ? Not sure how far or up you would need or if there are some out there that can handle small to larger sizes. Also does anyone know of a cart out there that has the drill sizes # for the size blades you are using? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Richard
  3. What grit are you using for the drum?
  4. If you have to replace I used one of the sewing machine lights for about $10.00 with a magnetic base that someone recamended on here for my Pegas saw and it works great.
  5. Kevin I live in Midland 48642 so its about 120 miles one way so at 20 miles a gallon ( gas in my area today is $1.79 a gal) so a round trip it would be about $25.00?
  6. I am just wondering if there would be any interest in a standard black table top for the new Pegas saws. I got my new saw about 6 months ago and only used the original top for one small project (cell phone holder) and then upgraded to the much larder top. Not sure if anyone would be looking for one or what kind of price to ask? Or what else it could be used for instead. Thanks
  7. I have a type #1 in the hot deals sale section, mint .... make me a offer! https://saginaw.craigslist.org/tls/d/midland-dewalt-788-type-scrollsaw/7236988618.html
  8. When I tryed the search, nothing came up, so I asked and I am glad I did, as I learned more than what I was looking for ... Thanks for all the help people. Richard
  9. Thanks, every one for the info as it seems tubes are the most used storage solution and there were some good-looking holders as well. Rocktime I like your straw tip as it’s a great idea no matter who came up with it first, and Ray thanks for asking as I always had troubles with the ½ used blades as well.. Any suggestions on the best tubes to buy and were? I know I can check the internet but I thought I would ask first and possibly save some time since it seems everyone has tubes already. Thanks Richard
  10. I am just wondering how everyone is storing there blades for use . There are so many different sizes and kinds and was curious what kind of racks or storage systems you are using for quick accessibility when cutting. And were you may have purchased it from? Thanks Richard
  11. Thanks for all you do to keep things going Travis. I am sure you probably don't here that enough! But it is appreciated. Richard
  12. Grizzly tools have some pretty good saws for the price or I would look for used as I have seen some pretty good deals on those now and then.
  13. Denny do you have tables available currently in stock? Richard
  14. Thanks for the comments on colors are most of you using flat colors, satin, or a high gloss? I would think a gloss would be a bit much…
  15. I am making one of these for my daughter’s birthday (she loves her cat) and was just wondering from everyone’s experience what is generally the best/most used background color for these kinds of plaques. The face/cut out wood is going to be birch ply in a natural clear finish. Thanks Richard
  16. Bob had stated that back when I bought my saw and that was last fall so ?????? who knows when, like you said Denny but options are a good thing.
  17. You can make your own and get the drum and such from this company... http://stockroomsupply.ca/shop/ under flatmaster sander
  18. I bought the saw from Denny at ArtCrafters great service and easy to work with and a good price . I would recommend them if buying the Pegas.
  19. I like the saw it cuts great and is well built. The only draw back I don't like is the small black table as wish it was bigger in front of the blade and not black? I picked this over the Seyco mostly for there blade holders and the rack and pinion knob for tilting the table. You can get the Pegas blade holder for the Seyco and it does have a larger table but with the upgrade holders it will cost you about $150 to $200 more when all said and done..
  20. Try using cardboard from cereal box's... I use it as a backer for cutting packs of veneer for marquetry . one top and one on the bottom . That way you can also past the pattern on the cardboard.
  21. Thanks for all your comments and who does what. As of now its 5 no tilt compared to 8 tilt.... Like stated I will probably try both ways ... It seems like a lot you with the tilted saws tended to sit down and no tilt people tend to stand up? I myself stand and have the saw fairly high in the air with a table height at about 44'' and I am 5'x8'' just for reference. Thanks for the insight. Richard
  22. I finally got my stand put together on my new saw and it’s on the mobile base I made with shelfs. My old saw sat level but I see and hear a lot of individuals that tilt there saw down in front with the back elevated. Before I mount it to the top, I was just wondering how many folks have there saw tilted in the front and if it’s that much better than just level. And what are the benefits of having it tilted?
  23. I like the frameless aspects of it as well.
  24. Scrappile looks great .... 3 D cutting is one of my favorite kinds of design
