  1. I do a lot of fretwork.
  2. This has recently shown up near me. But, for $350, no stand and a friend said that I will want to replace the top arm with the new model, which has a tension release lever at the front. Also beware that to start the saw up without first putting a little light machine oil on the connecting rod bearings, could cause the bearings to spin inside the arm and crack it. I am not sure this is a good deal. Thoughts?
  3. I cut that! Charles Dearing? It did take a while!
  4. Buy a small package. They are SO much cheaper on Amazon
  5. Clear contact paper and full sheet labels. Easy and no sticky mess on my fingers. If you don’t use the contact paper first, that label is not coming off.
  6. Haven’t found it, I will keep looking.
  7. I REALLY like that!
  8. There is a scrollsaw club that meets at the Winston-Salem Klingspor’s store. You might want to check it out. I don’t know the days or times, but the people at Klingspor’s would know. They’re nice folks.
  9. The edges will react like end grain
  10. Don’t fret over the small stuff
  11. I have my saw set VERY high, different reasons. I bought a drafting stool from Office Depot. It is padded like an office chair, swivels, has 5 casters and a back. The casters are locking, which is good because I have to ‘hop’ up to the seat! I love it.
  12. I also use the colored danish oils.
  13. If I was to replace my EX21 tomorrow, it would be with a Pegas.
  14. It’s sold. ($500)
  15. I tried Pegas, went back to Flying Dutchman and Olson. It’s a personal thing.
  16. Really? I’m in North Carolina too! Between Fayetteville and Cary. Where are you?
  17. My friend has a Hegner and just bought a Pegas. Her Hegner is now for sale.
  18. You can get Flying Dutchman metal cutting blades.
  19. Yeah, just put them on. Be sure the blade is centered at the top and bottom and done!
  20. Pine is just not worth the effort. Too much sap.
    Very nice patterns!
  21. Do NOT use a reverse tooth blade. DO use a small blade or a puzzle blade.
  22. That depends, the Jet is bottom feed because the bottom blade needs to be put is a holder first. Then the holder is placed in a clip at the bottom. Now you raise the arm and bottom feed the blade. I believe the Pegas blade chuck fixes this and allows top feeding.
