  1. My husband has made sure that I use a dust mask when cutting this stuff.
  2. I forgot, I also scrolled a plexiglass ballerina in plexiglass, backlit with a battery candle. Sorry, no picture of that one.
  3. I cut this from 1/4” spalted walnut and painted the backer.
  4. We have a small scroll saw club that meets here in Cary, NC. Every month we try to have a challenge to cut. This time it was puzzles! Here are mine.
  5. I have cut slate, records, cd’s, DVD’s. I enjoy trying new stuff.
  6. I have done it with varying degrees of success. They have layers and that presents some issues. They are brittle. I’ll take a picture. I resized some snowflake patterns.
  7. I don’t have this issue...so I ordered it!
  8. Definitely a number 5 blade, and ALWAYS use packing tape when cutting cherry, especially THICK cherry.
  9. That was a perfect choice of wood and a gorgeous pattern!
  10. I love old cars, this was a very interesting read. I never knew about this.
  11. Also, with a DW788 it is better to use a foot switch (not speed control) and cover the on/off switch on the saw, I used packing tape for that.
  12. I’m going to take my plunge base apart and take those springs to my local True Value. (I prefer to shop local) They should be able to get me some springs. Thanks, you just saved me some bucks. Now I can stop thinking about buying that fancy-shamsy one!
  13. It is a HP OFFICE JET PRO 7740. Inkjet. 22x15” the drawers don’t fit flush. The bottom one holds the longer paper.
  14. I would like one too! Even though we are 2 years away.
  15. I just bought a printer that was on sale at my local Office Depot that handles the large format paper and has a second paper tray for regular sized paper. I put my full sheet self adhesive labels in that tray. Kept the old printer for regular paper. Now I have a printer just for scrollsaw patterns!
  16. Bear woods never answered my emails. I did order some 2/0 blades and they also kept breaking. I did like the Pegas blades. I gave all my Pegas blades away and ordered Flying Dutchman. Yes, I did like Flying Dutchman before. I will also use Olson in a pinch because I can get them at my local Klingspor’s.
  17. I use both straight and spiral blades. This has come in handy a few times!
  18. I stopped using them after the issue last year. I went back to Flying Dutchman and never looked back.
  19. I put Pegas clamps on my EX 21. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner
  20. You can use the same puffer if you clean it out completely. I use a plastic box with a lid to hold my glue, flocking, and puffer. The box is big enough to set most of my projects in for puffing. After completely drying I turn the project over for the excess to stay in the box, by tapping, etc. then I can pour that excess back in the bag. For a different color I use a different box for a complete kit, including the puffer. It’s just a few bucks and saves a lot of possible frustration.
  21. If I was going to buy a new saw it would be the Pegas. I have seen it in action and took a test drive. Wonderful saw!
  22. I also never grease my Pegas lever. No grease is needed or wanted.
  23. With a 788 I always recommend attaching an on/off foot switch, turning the saw’s switch “on” covering and it with packing tape. That switch is noted for collecting sawdust.
  24. Made the jig and shared it with the scrollsaw club I’m in.
  25. Show some things you have enjoyed cutting. So we can help better.
