I put blue tape on first. I just hold on with my fingers. I found it much easier to cut with the small spiral blade. Thanks for that tidbit of information. I do enjoy cutting vinyl. I loved doing an original piece. Thanks so much!
Spirals take more tension. I also think they stretch a bit in use. I try to check the tension now and again and if I have the room I mainly go forward. Just easier for me.
I think this. Stain is wet. MDF swells when wet. Maybe if you just did the front... I am sure I would try on scrap first. No real help, I know. Just thinking out loud.
The only thing I can think of is debris. Popping up from under the table. I would take the blade out, give everything a good wipe down. Install a new blade, blame elves.
Does your blade slip or lose tension?. Does your tension lever release for no apparent reason? I was wishing I never bought my EXCALIBUR. The upgrade fixed it.
For what I spent it was worth it.
I never figured it out. I used the knob in the back. Wrong, I know, gave up caring. I bought the Pegas upgrade, all problems are solved. Including blade slippage
