    When I put the Vaseline on mine, I release the lever, put a dab on my finger, wipe most of that back off, put in on the lever, work it back and forth a few times, then wipe it back off. That usually enough to give it a good cleaning and leave enough ‘grease’ on the lever.

    The sapwood in walnut is that color.

    I have done a test. When the wood I was cutting started burning, I added packing tape to the piece without removing the blade. I just stopped, taped and resumed cutting. The result was amazing!

    That is why I am going to buy the upgrade clamps. I used to topfeed my Dewalt, my EX doesn’t like it.

    I get frustrated and just close the tab. Try again tomorrow. Hopefully someone will fix this.

    No, this is a scam pop up that doesn’t let you do anything else. If you press close, you are taken somewhere else, if you close THAT page SSV is gone too. If you press the back arrow at the top of the screen 2 times (I use an iPad) it sometimes goes away. But is will be back.

    I had a Dewalt for 10+ years. It was a type 1. I sold it and it is still going! i bought an ex 21. Token a while to get used to it, but I love it now! Get the best you can afford.

    I never, ever wore hearing protection. I have turned music up so far that the speakers cracked. Used to go to the races. Been to 5 KISS concerts. Started wearing hearing aids 20 years ago. 15 years ago they no longer helped. Cochlear implants (2, both sides). If someone steps into my shop I stop and hand them hearing protection. They either wear it or leave.

    I agree it probably needed clarification. I tell my students to think of a pole in the firehouse. When you slide down from the top, you want it smooth. It’s rough to try togofrom the bottom to the top Seems to help them remember.
