  10. I have the harbor freight light and it is as good as the one I used when I taught digital electronics to read the IC numbers and it cost over $100.00.
  11. Ray it is hard for us to realize your plight of driving anywhere. My farthest lumber source is 90 miles takes less than 90 minutes. The shortest trip is 12 miles and takes 15 minutes. Good luck on finding a decent place for your hardwood needs. A former student runs a cabinet shop and said I could get lumber from him it is 5 minutes away but he only has what he is using at the time.
  12. Too bad you don't have more local sources for hardwood. In my area we have several choices. From my woodworking club, local woodworking store and several sawmills within 90 mile radius. Good luck on finding a less expensive source. Just a thought a local cabinet shop may have pieces of hardwood they can't use because of a defect or it is too figured. I sometimes get some fantastic looking wood from them because they can't use it.
  13. That is a very sizable inventory. It would be nice to sell out on your three upcoming events. Then you might have to consider it a job with the puzzles needed to replenish your inventory. Good luck on your endeavor.
  14. Looks like my brothers nova after he had it awhile, great job and design.
  15. Thanks for sharing, I am sure everyone will put the new style clamps to use and the price will up when Rockler, Woodcraft or Lee Valley patent the Idea.
  16. Awesome first puzzle! You may become addicted like iggy and then there is no turning back.
  17. Sounds like your eager to get started and the weather is going to cooperate. Good luck on a very successful season.
  18. I use a branding iron as well and it if does not have spot for the iron a sharpie works fine.
  19. As a retired pre engneering teacher I give you an A+ on that marvelous feat of engineering.
  20. The woodworking store tries to keep their prices close to mail order. They sell name brand equipment and supplies. They offer free classes on everything woodworking. They also have exotic and domestic wood at reasonable prices. They listen to needs of the local woodworkers and try to supply those needs. They employ some of the members of the woodworking club as salespeople and to teach classes.
  21. I buy from the local woodworking store. I might pay a little more but the convenience of getting them when I need blades is worth it. I try buying from the woodworking store whenever I can for my woodworking needs.
  22. Nice shop Kevin, 24x32 is still not enough room is it. I have 30x33 and still need more. I have to give up one bay for my wife's car during winter. I wish it would stay warm very soon so I can reclaim the whole garage.
  23. The lock on the 40-694 is spring loaded for the release you need to push it in to lock. I have long arms and once you get in the groove it is easy.
  24. Sounds like a great addition. I will have to check it out.
  25. I have the delta 40-694 and it has a built in lifter. It works great once you get into the groove. I am sure anything that works on the 788 will work on the 40-690 delta. They the same except the color. Delta is grey and dewalt is yellow.
