  1. They don't have to watch it if they don't like it.
  2. There isn't a magic formula.
  3. I have a battery-powered handheld blower that I use for this.
  4. What kind of spray bottle do you use? I have not found one in which the mineral sprits would not destroy the seals quickly.
  5. It depends on the adhesive. For 3M77, mineral spirits work great but dry slowly. Denatured alcohol also works with 3M77 but not as well as mineral spirits; however, it dries much faster. I have run across some adhesives that neither of these will dissolve. I would start with the cheapest solvent and work my way up until I find the one that works for me.
  6. I rarely print anything with color. I have played around with colors for patterns and didn't see any advantage. I suspect my color toner will go bad before I run out.
  7. I would not be too concerned about it. I have discussed this with Steve in the past. He is slightly better with the names, but I think he still lives in the old DOS 8.3 naming convention.
  8. His naming and descriptions are terrible.
  9. Buy a planer. The DeWalt 735 is probably the best small planer ever made.
  10. You can get color laser printers.
  11. A laser printer is the only option. They are much cheaper to use in the long run, but they are not good at printing color photos. Per page cost is about $0.02/page for laser and $0.05/page for inkjet. This does not include the cost of replacing ink cartridges.
  12. I have been a Harbor Freight customer since they single store, and you had to order everything by mail. I have never seen this scroll saw. You can buy Central Machinery tools from other places. There are lots of them listed as new on eBay. I always thought these were people buying them cheap on sale and reselling them on eBay, but maybe not.
  13. I have to buy some of these and give it a try.
  14. Use what you have.
  15. I hate it when I work hard at something and have to throw it away. It took me a few seconds to determine what I was looking at.
  16. That is what I was thinking of using mine for.
  17. What would you cut from red cedar? I'm asking because I have a piece that I am wondering what to do with it.
  18. Quoting from @barb.j.enders Ultra Reverse post that was too small for me to read: Unique new scroll saw blade design. Every 3rd tooth reversed to prevent splintering on underside. Faster, smoother cut. These come with a crimp on the top of the blade to help with proper orientation in your saw.
  19. I don't have any of these. Is there a top and bottom for an Ultra reverse blade?
  20. I have seen the claim repeatedly that blades are notched at the top, and I have started paying close attention. I have Pegas, Flying Dutchman, and a few Olsen blades. I have found them with the following: Both ends notched Top end notched Bottom end notched Neither end notched Sometimes, mixed in the same batch The best way to find the top is to lightly rub the teeth with my finger. I can feel it when the direction changes.
  21. Name them them, I would. Anything that will use pinned blades is probably junk.
  22. You don't specify the smallest size you want to use. I have bits so small that I don't dare drop them because I may never find them. I have two drill presses, a large floor-standing, and a benchtop model. Both have the WEN DPA167H chuck mounted on them. They advertise 1/64-inch as the smallest size, but I have used smaller bits. I kept the original chucks in for larger bits or drilling steel. So, yes, you can change chucks with the proper tools. Note that there are a few cheaper drill presses that do not use taper-mounted chucks. I have a Dremel mounted on a drill press stand for bits too small for the Wen chucks.
  23. I was thinking the same thing.
  24. I bought a box of the Purebond plywood and have been happy with it. I don't make portraits.
