    Very nice! Great thing for a dad to tell his daughter. And yes, the reading is a great thing. I have kids from 15 to 33. My 15 year old has always been a crazy reader. She took her ACT last summer, before she started 9th grade, and made a 31. Lots smarter than dad!

    Thank you Richard! I do like portraits better around the 5 X 7 size. To me they just look better, and I can fit more on my shop wall. I hope to have lots of old cowboys before I'm through.

    Had an enjoyable afternoon in the shop with an old friend. He'll live on the cowboy wall in my shop. Gunsmoke and Bonanza make me think of my daddy. Thanks to @wild bill for a super pattern.

    Thanks everybody! It' fun to personalize a piece isn't it? I didn't glue the backer in case more little birds hatch.

    Just made this for an old friend. She saw something similar I had made and asked if I could make her one with birds representing her, her four daughters and their children. I found some clip art birds I liked and my talented 15 year old daughter drew the tree and grouped them by families.

    I love those. Seems to me that would take more natural ability than scrolling. I mean I can't draw a decent looking Santa so I wouldn't think that I could carve one.

      Pretty normal day. Kept the grandkids. Set up my grandson's skeleton display for the day. If you haven't seen it, look up my pictures on this month's Scroll Saw Challenge, it'll explain that last sentence. We did go eat supper at Stevie B's Pizza. It's a pizza buffet that has things like Loaded Baked Potato Pizza, Taco Pizza, Hot wing Pizza, Bacon Egg and Cheese Pizza, etc. I picked that mostly because my 15 year old daughter loves to eat there. Well, Happy Birthday again! Enjoy the fam Saturday.

      Oh wow that sounds like the perfect pizza place.  Never heard of any of those toppings here in Australia.

    I'm not entering this as part of the Challenge but it seemed an appropriate place to share it. My grandson is a huge Halloween fan. He did some chores for his parents and me so he could buy a $10 skeleton, he pronounces it skellington. I've been setting it up in his front yard doing something different each day while he is at kindergarten. I'm going to try to continue till the 31st. I did use my scroll saw on the skeleton fish you'll see in one picture! I borrowed his cousin's skeleton, not his actual skeleton you understand, and added his skelly-dog for a few. j
