  1. Exactly what'll probably happen to mine. I hope they at least look on the back first because I've put their names of a few of them if it's a singer or actor they like. I'm planning to be cremated so maybe they can just throw them in with me and save time.
  2. I hung the 100th portrait in my shop today. There are a few I didn't count since they aren't really portraits, like Groot, The Weeping Angel and a couple of signs. If I counted correctly there are 146 individual faces in the 100 portraits. So glad I somehow stumbled into this hobby. So many hours of fun, frustration , and therapy.
  3. Couple of my favorite lyrics of his.-The yellow haired lady was buried at sunset, the stranger went free of course. For you can't hang a man for killing a woman who's trying to steal your horse. And-I heard you told him that you'd love him till the end of time. That's the same thing that you told me, seems like only yesterday. Ain't it funny how time slips away.
  4. Tribute to my all time favorite musician and his faithful guitar, Trigger. Willie may surprise us all and hang around a lot longer, but I made this as a kind of farewell piece. "Funny How Time Slips Away" was first recorded in 1961 so Willie wrote it sometime before that. If you're familiar with his signature red, white, and blue guitar strap there's a glimpse of it between his braid and fingers. I worked my initials, CKE into his braid also. Let me know if you'd like a copy of the pattern.
  5. Nice job! I love Celtic designs. Great colors.
  6. Nice piece Paul. I like the advise of using painters tape on small pieces. Hopefully I'll remember that.
  7. Sending you a message.
  8. Thank you very much. I don’t sell patterns but I’m happy to share most of them. This one I wouldn’t share because it is so close to a Charles Dearing pattern. If you see any of my cuttings you’d be interested in a pattern of send me a message and I’ll let you know if it’s one I can share. Thanks again.
  9. Great likeness of The Duke!
  10. Great stuff Barb. I hope you sell bunches. I really love the trees! Bet you sell all of them. Gonna have to have one of those at my house this year.
  11. Thank you Dick. I'm working on portrait #100 right now. When I get it done I was planning on posting photos that will show all of them.
  12. Very nice. Lots of little pieces to keep up with. My grandkids love Jack Skellington. I cut this for one of them a couple of days ago.
  13. Lots of people used the word, but it is really cool!
  14. Nice job Barb! Maybe cut a little shovel to hang from it.
  15. Nice job Danny. I love cutting that font.
  16. Thank you! Pretty sure I was born to be a Pop.
  17. I'm guess I'm going to have to put some type of dust collection on my scroll saw. I have a Jet air filter but the dust goes right by my nose on the way to it.
  18. I love it. I'd like to know where to get the lights also.
  19. My favorite is the lights. That's the type I grew up with on our family Christmas tree. They got so hot I would hold the silver tensile/icicles against them and melt them. Good memories. Nice work!
  20. Great looking puzzles! Good move taking the fish out of the boat. And I like the idea of the dove being outside, maybe carrying an olive branch. I don't cut any MDF. I ripped some in my carport once trying to make some cheap moulding and the amount of dust was incredible. How is the dust compared to wood when scrolling. I am once again sick from breathing sawdust even though I almost always wear a mask.
  21. Great job! That would take me that long without the electrical interruptions. So sorry you're having to deal with that. My brother in law is a missionary in Lebanon and recently put in a solar system due to the same thing. Hope it improves for you.
  22. These were both stencils found on the internet. I wasn't a huge fan of either singer in the day, though I do like a lot of Queen songs now and David's, "Space Oddity." I also love David's duet with Bing Crosby on Little Drummer Boy. I found this piece of heart pine at a curb where some people are remodeling a century old home. Still highly prefer cutting oak but free is free. When I get this hung it will make number 99 on my shop walls.
  23. Had to look him up. I never watched NYPD Blue.
  24. Maybe that’s why he got shot 56 times. I read that the lead poisoning alone should have killed him.
