  1. I had spare ribs dripping with plum sauce the other night and couldn't help but feel sorry for all those that only eat vegies. Not only do they miss out on the taste, but the mess is something else to behold
  2. Thanks Dick. I think the cutting is the result of a good glass and light. Mistakes look huge, but in reality they are not. I think that I will 19 - 25mm matt all I frame with the thinner frame from now on.
  3. Thanks Marg, Slim and Ned Kelly seem to just keep on keeping on. and so they should
  4. It's only depth that varies, Charlie Sorry about the 10 grand though but ....... happens Seriously, Hope you got it sorted mate
  5. I haven't been in the shed as much as I would like. It's been bloody cold and blowing a gale for the past week.
  6. What nice things to busy with.
  7. I appreciated the effort Brenda, I looked at it a few times
  8. I know this for a fact. When I was in the Police Force, the Air Wing had a poster on the wall with a flying pig on it and the words" "Pigs Might Fly" and under it "We Do"
  9. I can't remember if I posted this pic before or told the story 2008 at St Mary's Primary School's end of year concert, one of the teachers squeezing between the lectern and the wall of the stage uttered "I'm glad I've got my, Suck me in knickers on" to another teacher. The problem was, the mic was also on, and around 600 parents and students also heard. Hence the "Wood Duck" Award was born. It is given to a teacher when they make an embarrassing (Humorous) comment.
  10. that is striking, Dave. Punctuation is important
  11. A nice cutting of a nice pattern Rodney. I was thinking how I liked the top one better, but after reading that you finished both with gloss, the shine must just be a result of the light. A big well done to the cutter and pattern maker.
  12. Nicely done Tom. I do like these, just have never gotten around to making one. If he'd been set up in Kal. today he really would of taken of and flew away
  13. I just got sent this pintrest page. I think there are enough ideas to keep you all busy for a long long time. https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin/485544403587872563/
  14. easy Dick, Rust brown with a little silver, but make sure you add, an annoying squeak.
  15. Just the shot to place on their bedroom doors.
  16. You have taken these into another category. They look good. Well done.
  17. Not TV Kevin, We never had TV when I was a Kid. Actually we never had electricity until I was 12 These were the good old Paper comics
  18. When I saw the title, this was what I first thought of. It was a school banking programme which my kids, and almost every Aussie kid took part in. That's a great cutting BTW
  19. I still use that "Special hunk of timber" on my DeWalt
  20. I used to love the Micky Mouse comics as a kid and the Donald Duck ones. I think I had more of an affinity with Donald, as he was always in strife
  21. A nice distraction Dick. You have inadvertently proven two truisms, that are my Dad's favourites. "If it's worth doing, it's worth doing Well" and "Less haste, less waste"
  22. A nice idea as a gift Dick.
  23. Thanks Rodney, This is the 1st time I have tried this method of framing and I have to agree with you. I like it a lot.
  24. Here is a full size pic. When you enlarge it the glitter shows up. It changes colour as you look from different angles (at the real thing)
  25. I have just finished cutting the Mandalorian pattern by Helder Botas and have added another of his patterns (shrunk) of "the Child) in the top right cnr. Cut from 4mm Hoop Pine Ply using #3 FDUR and #2FD New Spirals. One of the Mandalorian pics has glitter applied to the backer. It is hard to photograph so I've posted a few of it to give the idea. You may have click on the pics to enlarge them so as to see the glitter. I think it adds another dimension which I like. The others are of Slim Dusty, I have cut him many times before, however this time I used a thinner frame and also matted one. Mando 370 x 310mm, Slim 300 x 225mm
