    Hi Jack!

Not a thing wrong with it. As long as you are happy, that's all that matters. Good job on the pattern and cutting
  2. I tie a tag to my decorations so that the purchaser and if a gift, the recipient can see where it was made etc. It is easily removable. The tree decorations typically revolve when hung on tree, so the back will be visible. You will not find a sticker or branding on any of our decorations as the 1st thing I do when I get one is to remove them before hanging.
  3. Just knock up another to knock that one down
  4. Very nice. I have that pattern downloaded, just have to find the time and inclination to cut it.
  5. Now, that's nice.
  6. Great pattern, nice cutting and the War Office made the correct choice. Win, Win, Win.
  7. Looking Good, Waylon is one of my favourite artists.
  8. Good on you for giving it a shot Barb. Outside markets are always hit and miss. Many a-time I have loaded the ute the night before, with a forecast of a nice day coming up, only to find, when we get set up that the winds are terrible and sometimes the heat just keeps people away too. You had a win, covered costs and have $20 for some more timber, or maybe hot soup

    Colt 45

Nice job. The contrasting timbers make it standout.
  10. They are rippers Barb, Any old sea salt would love them, so would many not so salty
  11. An unusual project. Very well executed
  12. Very nicely done. It is good to hear of your experience with book marks, as I was always leery of them for a number of reasons you have mentioned. how thick they would have to be to be serviceable and how this would impact on the book.
  13. That's clever marketing Jim, because I just checked the PVA I use and it is white, but they also make an exterior PVA, which is white. So in reality the colour does not matter. Another brand I use is Selley's and they have the same, water resistant, white PVA.
  14. It's funny, but the 1st time heard of "Yellow" glue was from Americans. All of the Australian PVA's are white. Because we are the 51st state there is now Titebond yellow glues available, but it is, in reality no better than the other PVAs' as they are stronger than the wood they are joining.
  15. Looking good Dick. Greyhound used to operate in Australia too. It was a cheap way of getting packages around the country as well as travelling.
  16. Old Iron lungs (Frankie Lane) has quite the voice.
  17. Dave, just another method of fixing entry holes and small blemishes is wax sticks. I use them routinely on my jobs and the fix is invisible. You can purchase them individually or in a pack of various colours. I have about 10 and I honestly can not remember the last time I bought any. The soft ones are better as they do not require melting to use. I typically apply them after the 1st coat of finish.
  18. Super nice job. I love inlays, and the scroll saw makes a difficult process a little less so.
  19. I've got Spurs that jingle jangle jingle, but I can't hear them over the clop of my boots
  20. Love them both Marg, but the Teeth make me smile.
  21. Now, that's a new take on clogs Looks good and is unique.
  22. One of the problems with using a wax or oil finish on toys, puzzles for kids etc is that they do very little in way of protecting the wood. They can actually make dirt stick to the object.
  23. I saw Steve's video, but you have won the kupi doll Rolf, the colours make it something to smile about. It would attract a lot of attention on a stall.
  24. Ok, I see it now. :). By looking at the pic I thought the wood was wood and you had some how done the lettering, with a transfer or some other magical means Thanks Brenda
  25. A great idea Brenda. Nicely cut Sticky beaks would like to know how you did the lettering ? I made a large puzzle for a friend of mines wedding cut into the same amount of pieces as guests and each guest signed a piece. When the puzzle was put together the face of it had a nice photo on it.
