    Sure does Dan. My Daughter had the stall to my right, she makes and sells jewellery. When we do out door markets we share the gazebo space.

    Attended a Market at the Goldfields Art Centre today from 10am - 2pm. It was inside, nice and cool. Not busy but steady. $40 for the stall. The stall looked a lot lighter on at 2pm, but I had $700+ dollars in the sky rocket. A good day all around.

    Never seen one fly either, but have seen a horse Fly Bloody amazing what pops out of the head, probably a good 20 + years since I half watched Dumbo. My daughter is now 40

    Bruce, They are not the cheap wire ones. All I can tell you is they are 16mm Shouldered cup hooks, bight coated. I purchased them in lots of a 1000 from an Australian wholesale hardware shop. Hope this helps a little.

    Don, I know bugger all about that model of saw, but it sounds to me like the blade has a lot of backward and forward motion. I don't know if there is a way of adjusting this on a Wen. Move the blade to it's lowest point and place a piece of wood or a rule against the back of it, then move the blade to it's highest point and see how much the wood moved or the gap between it and the blade. That's about all I have to offer, sorry mate. Hope you get it sorted soon

    I hate not having a reference book at hand when trying to learn something new. Loath the online instructions. I'd much rather flick through to a certain page and have it open near me. I rather like Barb's idea My favourite (and by far the best IMHO) are the Dummies and an Idiots Guide text books. May be that says something about me

    Come on now Jim, have seen all of those American movies when somebody gets fired or changes jobs and all of their office possessions fit in one cardboard box which they can carry under one arm Best wishes to the War Office on her retirement.

    I'm definitely not going to to criticise the painting Frank. It look a million bucks compared to my efforts. Single colours I'm OK at. The only suggestion I can offer is to perhaps spend a little more time sanding the frame prior to finishing it. The only problem with gloss is it tends to show imperfections and there are minor machine marks visible. You are welcome to tell me to take a hike

    Thanks Frank. I love the pillow top look. Finished with 3 coats of gloss lacquer. The colours are great, sad the timber is a little soft.

    Thanks Mark. Royal Blue or Red seem to be my go to colours. Most of the older buildings especially large warehouses used Oregon as beams and the Gold mines in Kalgoorlie used it extensively for underground timbers and, Head frames and buildings. I only use 2nd pieces that I happen to find. Currently I have 5@ 6" x 6" veranda posts

    @preprius@Dave Monk The VW's came about because of the "Name Trains" I used to make. A hundred plus letters a month . I had an Engine in front, but a lot of Mum's asked if I could do something more "Girly" so along came the peoples car powered by Peace, Love and Coca-Cola Of course I then had people ask if I could do VW in boys colours Ya win some.

    Very nice Barb. Be Vewy Vewy carefullll. You start making these things and it can soon become a deeeeeeeep rabbit hole once word gets out Be prepared to buy heaps of blades and lots of timber.

    Thank you. I don't have a pattern as such. I sketch my design onto 3mm ply, then cut it out, this becomes a template to draw around each time I want to make some.

    No Bruce, not at all. They are not sharp and are far safer than a small wooden dowel that can become loose and be swallowed. After making hundreds of "name trains" and coupling them with this method, I have found it to be the best.
