  1. Bill, I have a lazy susan type thing built into my spray booth. I usually use "Blue Tac" or loops of masking tape to hold the decorations onto a flat board. Spray one side, then do the other, lightly sand and repeat.
  2. Very nice. Johnny Cash has the sort of craggy face that looks great, scroll sawn. Willie Nelson and Clint Eastwood are others.
  3. Absolutely love that little bloke, makes me smile. Good job Don.
  4. Good stuff Barb.
  5. I don't know about the US, but here, once you purchase something it is yours to with as you wish. The only caveat is you can not make copies for distribution. The one you purchased you can burn, cut it up, sell it at 100 times what you paid for it or even make puzzles. I use calendars for most of my picture puzzles as they are usually printed on good quality paper and if you get them after the year they are intended for they are almost given away. I have also used some plates from nursery rhyme books etc.

    Cross

Nice representation. Just a thought,If they were compound cut "on a slight angle" each piece would nest slightly higher than the previous, adding a greater dimension and interest. I am by no means demeaning your cutting, just expressing thoughts out-loud and the option of another technique.
  7. After reading Jaun's question about available magazines relating to scrolling, it made me think. I used to subscribe to "Scroll Saw, Woodworking and Crafts, but I found it became a bit same same. However that is not what this is about. I would deliberately not read the instructions attached to a pattern or project until I had thought through how I would make the item. Then when reading the article there would be "I never thought of that!" or "Nah, that's a much too complicated process to achieve that" etc. Just little mind games I would play.
  8. Nice looking little drill stand, but very limited as it has very small throat. Having said that, if it is all you need it is all you need.
  9. Absolutely beautiful work Eric. Love everything about it mate. The butterflies holding the timber together and the addition of the cat, blending in with the wood at the bottom. unique and wonderful.

    Gnomes

Very nice Marg. As an aside, Quite a few years ago somebody knocked of a gnome from a person's front yard here in Kalgoorlie. They then took the little bloke on a holiday all around Australia, posting back photo's of the gnome at various locations. If I remember correctly, after about 6 months he turned up on his owners front door holding a tiny suit case.
  11. The saw looks very much like a re branded generic type. It reminds me of the makita, Wen etc. there is nothing wrong with Olson Blades. The Wooden Teddybear sells Flying Dutchman and Olson blades and I find them very reasonable,(compared to Australian prices) and their postage is cheap and very quick. https://woodenteddybear.com/collections/blades/olson-scroll-saw-blades?sort_by=title-ascending
  12. I used to read :the Chipmunk" comics as a kid. Nice job
  13. Great stuff. all look ready to knock up many miles of trouble free play. I like the "Carrot" mobile. I can see them selling really well at a market stall with a small Easter egg attached.
  14. Fred and Thumper are real winners.
  15. You'd never find the lids Ray
  16. Love the painting Ralph, takes it to a whole new level.
  17. I agree with the common consensus, Ditch it.. It's as useful as an ashtray on a motorcycle.
  18. What a great display of you work Charlie. I have one or 2 pieces hung in the shed, but wall space is a premium and they would all pretty soon end up getting covered in dust. i was just thinking Two beers per = Good job mate.
  19. 14 wands cut for a friends, ankle biters birthday party. Only posted because it's been a long time between watering holes. Maybe the next things I do will be more interesting.
  20. Absolutely top shelf project. Dedication and patients.
  21. Thanks mate. Truly appreciate that Rolf.
  22. Thanks Dick. I think it's about time I made her another. That one is chock-a-block.
  23. Me too Katie. As the Missus is a teacher they are free for me so that's a bonus
  24. To be quite honest I'd love to see any of the Pegas saws available in Oz. and from a different dealer than Timbercon
