When using the ROS I turn the speed down. I always sand the board down to 220g prior to cutting so it only requires a light going over with 360g before finishing.     Thanks Charlie. I print the photo out on photo paper not to thick. I used 190gsm or 230 microns. I use contact adhesive in a pressure pack can. Spray the back of the picture and the board, wait until tacky and press the picture onto the board. Back up a step. I give the picture a light coat of lacquer prior to gluing, as this stops the ink from running and makes it more durable. Once cut put the puzzle together in it's tray and spray another coat of lacquer. Once dry cut it back lightly with 400grit and give it another coat of lacquer. Sounds complicated but it really isn't. I use an inkjet printer. Hope this helps. Cheers

    G'day all, I think I have posted 2 of these designs before, but no two are alike. Finished these 4. Radiata Pine, one with a Jarrah band. Interiors flocked, exterior 2 coats of gloss lacquer.

    A couple of jigsaw puzzles completed. 16 and 20 pieces. Cut from 4mm ply with 3mm MDF backing 2 coats of gloss lacquer

    That's a great way to to store blades and it takes up no space. well done. I made a rough rack for test tubes and have my blades in them. They do get a bit of dust in the bottoms over time.

    The set of Pegas blade clamps that I ordered from QTE turned up today. Took 3 days from the time I ordered to hit Melbourne from the US then 11 days from Melbourne to Kal. Aussie post's stage must of thrown a wheel or a couple of the horses dropped dead Easy to fit and set up on the Ex21. Tensioning is a breeze, I never thought they could improve on the original Excalibur system, but !. Locating the blade and tightening the thumb screws seems easier. They are pretty and they came packaged in a plastic box fit for the crown jewels, shame it just has to go in the bin. Came just in the nick of time as the original lever was beginning to let go every so often this morning.'

    Very nice Barb. I have cut lots of kiddies puzzles, with borders, but none like that. I never gave stack cutting them a thought.

    We had one of those at Tech school when I did my apprenticeship. 100% perfect mitres and if they weren't, you couldn't blame the tools.
