  1. I've only ever done single pieces before as I never had the courage to stack cut. But I'm not displeased with the outcome. A Sam Custodio pattern
  2. Absolutely beautiful. Great piece.
  3. Wishing you well in your recovery Dave. Having watched my husband go through having both knees done and come out the other end feeling near brand new. I'd say do the exercises they give you and more, it makes a tremendous difference. A good friend had his done last year and is still struggling as he confessed to not doing the exercises because they hurt. Take care, don't fall and you'll be running around before you know it.
  4. Just seen this. Wow, you can paint as good as you scroll and that's saying something. Brilliant !!
  5. Nice work. Great cutting. x
  6. Great idea, I love it. I may make one to go with my batman dish.
  7. Welcome to the Village Leonard. You'll enjoy it here. Lots of friendly, helpful people that will answer any question you ask.
  8. That's a great piece, so simple yet instantly recognisable.
  9. Nice piece, and no fuzzies, what more can you ask for ?
  10. MDF cuts like butter but it is incredibly dusty and in my opinion only good for pieces that are going to be painted. Most of us prefer to work with 'wood' as it looks good without 'paint'. I must admit the only time I use mdf is if I'm doing a plaque with my router as it is easier than wood to carve.
  11. That looks amazing. Great cutting.
  12. Mmm it was advertised as BB. but to be fair it was also sold as BB Laserply. I liked the idea of a 'different' less toxic glue.
  13. Don't have one of these saws and took the 'hold down' off my saw when I bought it. I just wanted to say that your post did make me smile. You sounded just like a kid at Christmas... Enjoy your new toy
  14. Awesome
  15. Ok, thanks. I get mine from Hegner too but they don't have any WAIT .. Apparently they now use the name Pebeco/Niqua, as apparently, do Original Marquetry. Well don't you just learn something new every day. So I've ordered a gross from Hegner.
  16. It is a pack of Niqua Don, but I think it's a 'mixture' of sizes and I already have 144 #3/0
  17. A great collaboration, beautifully done.
  18. Thanks Steve, however, I've looked everywhere for a 2/0 blade and can't find any. I usually use Niqua.
  19. Good Heavens, there are some awful people in the world. Why on earth would anyone do that ?
  20. Sorry to disappoint Dan, I chickened out because I needed something quick and sturdy so I used my trusty ¼" ply with a ¼" backer.
  21. A friend hoping to retire shortly so I did this for him. He's a fishing fanatic A Steve Good pattern
  22. Beautifully cut
  23. That looks great. A nice addition to the kitchen. !
  24. That answers a lot.... I kept changing my blade thinking it wasn't sharp enough Well, you learn something every day. !!!!
  25. I think you may be right Kevin, when I look at it, it is where there is a 'thin' line separating and also I know that the drill bit I used wasn't the sharpest and I did 'push' a bit I would never have thought of that.
