Wishing you well in your recovery Dave. Having watched my husband go through having both knees done and come out the other end feeling near brand new. I'd say do the exercises they give you and more, it makes a tremendous difference. A good friend had his done last year and is still struggling as he confessed to not doing the exercises because they hurt.
Take care, don't fall and you'll be running around before you know it.
MDF cuts like butter but it is incredibly dusty and in my opinion only good for pieces that are going to be painted. Most of us prefer to work with 'wood' as it looks good without 'paint'. I must admit the only time I use mdf is if I'm doing a plaque with my router as it is easier than wood to carve.
Don't have one of these saws and took the 'hold down' off my saw when I bought it. I just wanted to say that your post did make me smile. You sounded just like a kid at Christmas... Enjoy your new toy
Ok, thanks. I get mine from Hegner too but they don't have any WAIT .. Apparently they now use the name Pebeco/Niqua, as apparently, do Original Marquetry. Well don't you just learn something new every day. So I've ordered a gross from Hegner.
I think you may be right Kevin, when I look at it, it is where there is a 'thin' line separating and also I know that the drill bit I used wasn't the sharpest and I did 'push' a bit I would never have thought of that.
