If it was for me, then I probably would do that, however the 'lady' wants wood. I may just cut it again with a better piece of ply, it wasn't a difficult pattern. xx

Well I have cut my 'fussy' friends ruddy Koala, however the top layer of plywood seems to be a little 'yucky'. Not sure if it's the wood or perhaps I sanded it a tad too much. What would you suggest to make it look better ? I was thinking about a stain but I've heard that plywood doesn't take stains very well.

We call them 'lures' over here, your 'bayou' looks absolutely beautiful, the alligator looks a little scary. Have a wonderful time while you are away. So glad you took my 'dilemma' in good part and were not offended by my comments.

I've just choked on my coffee, I'm so, so sorry but that sentence means something totally different over here. Never was I so pleased to look on the Internet for a 'translation' I thought you were being rather hard on yourself as I thought your bench looked fine Over here Crappy/Crappie means 'Totally Rubbish' My sincere apologies, from an old English Lady. Slowly, slowly catch the monkey. Keep doing a little at a time and keep the thought of lots of lovely free wood and imagine all you could make out of it. That will keep you going. !!!

Nice cutting. I used to hate spirals and didn't get along with them at all. Then I tried again after getting more 'hours at the saw' under my belt. And when I saw a 'child' on Youtube cutting with them I felt mad at myself for giving up so I tried again and did a Gorilla and now I'm much 'easier' with them although they are not my first choice. So keep at it, it will come.

My vote is for a 'used' one too. I got mine for £200 second hand when they were £600 in the shops.
