  1. Les, please excuse my ignorance, but could you tell me what 'underlayment' is? It's a term I haven't heard before. Thanks
  2. Great job. I've only just started with spirals so I know how 'different' it is and not easy to get used to if you've only used flat blades.
  3. Go for it Gary !! When I first started a year ago, I too, did silhouettes to start with but with the help of all the good people on this forum I gradually practiced and worked my way up to doing more complex things. It's tremendous fun !!
  4. Hi Barry, welcome to the Village. Lots of helpful people on here and some great information. I'm in the UK also, there are a few of us Brits on here, it's the best place ever.
  5. Looks great. Welcome to the Village, you'll love it here x
  6. The just tell him you had a great response and sold a zillion patterns I'm sure the Lord wouldn't mind a little white lie for a good cause. xxx
  7. May I ask what size blade ? and what kind of wood ?
  8. Could someone do a 'Go Fund Me' page for him ? I'd definitely contribute if they did. Just a thought !!
  9. Got to agree with Denny, '' A work of Art''
  10. Totally awe inspiring. Beautiful scrolling
  11. Welcome and enjoy. The Village is a great place to be and I think your cat is purrfect !!
  12. I bought the one with 30 leds, I couldn't find one with more although several of them had far less.
  13. Oooh I've just seen this, as the 'original' post was before my time in the Village. Many thanks for bringing it up to date. I think these would be a great addition to my 'ensemble' so I've just bought 2 of them
  14. It's an H Botas pattern.
  15. It was just where the pattern had torn and come off the wood. I think it just showed up very 'brown' against the white paper, I've done nothing to it at all. xx
  16. My first time using spiral blades along side my flat blades. I found the spiral quite 'scary', mainly because I'm relatively comfortable with my flat blades and I like nice 'clean' points and corners and the spirals gave me neither. . However, I'm not unhappy with the outcome and I can see that they have a place in my 'tool box', just not too often I think. !!
  17. I love the Red myself, I think it goes so well with the inlay pieces. JMHO
  18. We've never met as I've only been here a year, but Welcome back, your work looks amazing xx
  19. Shows you how we all differ. I really like the way the hinges and handles stand out against the 'white'. Great Job.
  20. Lovely piece Les it will look amazing when finished and framed. Look forward to seeing it.

  24. Thank you Dick, your words are much appreciated. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I have learned so much from all you lovely people in the Village, it's amazing how freely everyone gives their knowledge.
  25. Click on the 'Node Editor' and then click on your image. It will show all the 'nodes' that make up your image. Right click and drag across the lines you wish to remove. Drag across the 'top line' and then press 'delete' and repeat with the other lines.
