  1. Very interesting. What are they going to be used for?
  2. Beautiful work. If it were me, I'd use a color background. Makes it 'pop' more.
  3. Both RonWalters and Matthias Wandel have done a version on Youtube and Matthias has a pattern on his website. Reindeer pattern
  4. Probably not that impressive to all you sage scrollers, but I'm really happy with my first attempt at 3D work. Thanks for looking!
  5. I've got to give a dissenting opinion of the Rikon 10". I bought one so that I could have a narrow blade on it for tight curves and a wider blade on my 14" Delta with a riser block. While it was a solidly built machine and ran smoothly, it constantly broke the 1/8" and 3/16" blades that I used on it. I believe it's because of the smaller diameter wheels flex the blade and weld more and fatigue it to breaking. I didn't run them overly tensioned or force the cuts. I ended up selling it and replacing it with a 14" Porter Cable from Lowes. Had no more problems with broken blades. Just my 2 cents.
  6. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, I really appreciate it.
  7. If you're asking about mine, the overall idea was something I saw on Pinterest. The ghosts were just hand sketched and the cat and pumpkin were a Google search. Thank you.
  8. Even though I'm just getting started scrolling, I did make some Halloween items this season.
  9. Hey Clayton, thank you. We're in BG a couple times a week, our daughter and family lives there. Here's a couple things I've made.
  10. Hi everyone, my name is John and I live in a small town just west of Toledo, Ohio. I've been a woodworker for ages, but have just gotten interested in scrolling in the last month or so. We've actually had a Dewalt saw for 5 or 6 years, purchased it for my wife. She took a class at the local Woodcraft, but really hasn't taken much time to practice. I've used it a few times, just to make cuts that seemed easier on it. Then over the last month or so I was finishing some stuff up for our first craft show and started using it more and really enjoying it. I've cut 10 to 15 simple projects so far and feel like I might be hooked! Looking forward to learning from all you fine folks and contributing when I can.
