  1. That is pretty amazing. I watched your video last night.
  2. Those are outstanding! I think wooden toys are great for kids. Teaches them to use their imagination instead of what the TV or video game presents to them.
  3. Free is always good! Don't know if you partake in YouTube, but you can find tons of good turners there. I've learned tons from watching videos. Good luck!
  4. Excellent! I really like that design.
  5. That's amazing. Hard to believe that's possible without creasing or dimpling. I made bi-planes from aluminum cans ways back in the 80's. Still have the patterns around somewhere. I think it was mainly a good excuse to empty another 12 pack, lol.
  6. Here in northern Ohio, we had a dusting again this morning which makes the third or fourth time so far. Never been a big fan of winter, but doesn't bother me nearly as much now that I don't have to drive in it. Seems like the cold is starting too early this year. We've been running about 15 degrees below average. Guess we'll take what we get.
  7. I've had a Delta unisaw for over 20 years and have been very happy with it. Happily cuts anything I can push thru it. If you're patient, you can come across deals on good used ones. If I were ever going to replace it, it would be with a sawstop just for the safety factor. Best of luck with your search.
  8. Love em all! Hope to have such skill some day.
  9. Very nice. I've had one of those on "my list" for a long time.
  10. You've been working hard. Looks great!
  11. Man, she does a better job than I can! Great to have a helper.
  12. Congrats! Reinvest in blades and lumber.
  13. Keep an eye on Craigslist too. Sometime you can find great deals on barely used saws. I recently saw a Hawk that looked brand new for $450. Good luck!
  14. Those are great. Many different ways to display them too.
  15. Excellent! Just seeing that face and I can hear his voice. One of the great characters of TV history.
  16. Looks great. Holidays just help create new projects.
  17. Like others said, it's not hard to believe considering the density of home improvement stores in most locations. Lowes used to be my go-to, but I've generally switched to Menards. I think the lumber quality is better and I just wait for the 11% off.
  18. Wow, I can barely imagine being able to do that. Very inspiring.
  19. Very, very nice. I have a tree of life on my list of things to make.
  20. Always wise to butter up the Mrs. with gifts! Good stuff.
  21. Thanks Rob. I just did my first craft shop back in October and the jury is still out on doing more.
  22. This is the kind of thing that's so far prevented me from becoming serious about selling. Just seems like too much hassle.
  23. No snow, just very white wood. Willow from one that came down this summer. Thanks!
  24. I've got a honey do project coming up so decided to spend the day (after some leaf pick-up) practicing my scrolling. I really enjoy doing these tree/deer combos. Lots of practice making turns and nifty holiday decorations. The larger one still needs a base and they all need sanding/finish. Thanks for looking.
  25. Nothing wrong with a little extra $ to pay for blades and lumber. They look outstanding.
