  1. I ordered 2 of them before they ran out.
  2. Thanks for your patience with me. With your screen shot I figured out that the long gooseneck was an option for the same listing and not a sponsored item further down the page. For some reason the prices didn't display on my page like they did on yours. Tom
  3. I did that before posting my request. And I’ve tried again. Apparently different “Sponsored Products” come up for different users. After 20 minutes of looking I’ve not been able to find one that fits your description.
  4. Can you post a link to the 24” one you ordered?
  5. One of the Legends and you did him justice. Wonder what chord he’s fingering?
  6. Thanks guys
  7. I never considered myself a “hero”. Like everyone else we were given a job to do and when the SHTF did it without regard for our own safety. I’d love to find a pattern for the actual CMB to cut. Tom
  8. Ray, Anxiously awaiting your report. I saw this one but decided to order the one pictured in the beginning of this topic for the larger hose size. Thinking this small one might work better with a mini shop vac for the scroll saw. I like that the majority of it fits inside the bucket. Tom
  9. I have one of these knockoffs. It may have been a different vendor but it looks like the picture. It works well - best I can tell. I don’t think any of them will work great on the fines. Tom
  10. Thanks guys, Tom
  11. Some time ago a forum member offered quality clock movements for sale. Now that I'm looking to scroll a couple projects needing a clock I'm wondering who it was and if still available. Tom
  12. Had the same experience working in a Honda MC shop half a century ago.
  13. My wife is a quilter and does other sewing crafts. I’ve made numerous templates from plexiglass for her. I use a scraper to clean up the edges and knock off the razor sharp edge.
  14. Lots of fine cuts that will show any mistakes. Great work so far. Tom
  15. Cell phones have all but killed the point & shoot camera market. At least the cell phone cameras have gotten very good.
  16. good proportions / perspective on pattern and nicely cut. Tom
  17. What a treasure. Tom
  18. Denny, Years ago I had a friend with a solution to the cluttered bench problem. He suggested building all benches on a 45 degree incline towards the front. Now the bench is clear but I can't walk up to it. Tom
  19. Yes, lots of ways to skin a cat. I keep my shop at 70 degrees in the winter so tape should have been warm enough. The 5 ply BB I used is good quality. I figured glue would penetrate the wood and wreck havoc with finishes. The painters tape was to prevent this. So far the painters tape has not been difficult to remove (other then lifting fibers). I’ll have to give the glue a try without the tape. Those using stick-on labels are they a permanent or removable type? Thanks for all the responses, Tom
  20. I’m a low time scroller having done a couple projects last summer and several in the first few months of this year. After laying off all summer I just finished 8 - 8x10 wall hangings to give as gifts. All of my cutting was with FD UR blades (mostly #3) until this project. I alternately used Pegas MG #3’s and the FD’s to stack-cut 2 1/4” BB plywood. Initially I thought the Pegas was a little more aggressive. Some cut straight but most cut at an angle that seemed to change blade to blade. I had trouble getting straight lines off to a good start because of this. They also seemed to lose their set quicker than the FD’s. These problems could very well be operator induced. Nonetheless I’m staying with FD UR blades. Tom
  21. Well, I didn't sand and I used blue tape. Will try both suggestions. dgman: how are you sticking your paper pattern to the wood?
  22. I'm doing a project out of 1/4" Baltic birch and had some problems with grain lifting on narrow areas. I used blue painters tape on the bare wood and glued my paper pattern with contact cement on the tape. When I peeled the tape, with the help of a heat gun, slivers of the surface stayed on the tape. Can I use a sanding sealer or another product prior to applying the tape to help prevent this? I'll be spraying a light coat of stain followed by clear lacquer from a rattle can to finish. Thanks, Tom
  23. Could you send the model over? I'd like to try this... Tom
  24. Thanks Don. Don't know why I wasn't getting this to come up on my search. Tom
  25. I'm trying to find this CD without success. Can you give a link to it? Thanks, Tom
