  1. His blog mentioned in leu of flowers, donations can be made. Instead, I figured that I would buy the USB since I have always intended to buy it but never did. I just tried to purchase the USB drive but when I went thru all of the clicks and filled out my info,, it doesn't allow to enter credit card info,, only a link to go to Paypal. Any ideas?
  2. Very sad to hear this news. I have enjoyed many of his patterns over the years. He even made me a custom pattern a few years ago. He will be missed.
  3. I had that same thought,, wasn't gonna say it though
  4. That's awesome! 'Ole Squints kissing the lifeguard was a classic move! LOL
  5. I've made several layered animals from them. Don't remember having too many issues. I would probably use a Dremel to make those kernels. Good luck
  6. Names were not necessary, you nailed it!
  7. Wow! I really like this. Great job.
  8. Outstanding!!
  9. Nice! I didn't know that you posted this,,, I just posted one that Don made for me earlier this year. LOL
  10. Don made me this pattern earlier this year. Our Daughter had her first baby in August. I used a piece of scrap Walnut with some BOL as the finish. Don, thank you very much for the pattern! I picked up a leaf from my yard from the Sycamore tree and used the scrollsaw to cut a heart out of the leaf for the picture. LOL
  11. Man, you make some really good designs/patterns! I don't know why I haven't purchased more of them! LOL... oh, I do know.... because I'm not retired..yet!
  12. Very cool! Makes me dizzy looking at it,, but in a good way!
  13. Thanks Barb!
  14. Thanks! When I bought the plans we didn't know if she was having a boy or a girl. I wanted to buy plans for a rocking motorcycle at first but thought the horse would be more appropriate for both, boys and girls. Now that we know she is having a boy, i wished I would have gotten plans for the motorcycle. Especially after my daughter sent me a TikTok of a rocking motorcycle. I imagine I will prob end up making one of those too!
  15. Appreciate it!
  16. Thanks Denny! I thought about painting the handles and foot rests black but figured that the color might wear off over time.
  17. Thanks! It should hold up to time,, it is doweled, glued, and screwed!
  18. Thank you sir!
  19. Thanks!
  20. We are expecting our first Grandbaby the middle of August. We found out a little over a month ago that it will be a boy. I put the last coat of clear on a couple of days ago. The saddle and bridle were made on the scroll saw, pretty much everything else was cut on the bandsaw. With help from my wife we have 2 and 3 coats of paint on the different colors. I bought another branding iron a few months ago for items specifically made for the grandbaby,, I branded a small oval piece of BB ply and attached it the rear of the platform. I know that it will be quite a while before he can enjoy the horse but I plan to give it to them at the baby shower at the end of June. The plans for the horse were purchased from Toymakingplans.com. We have made a few things and have a few more in the works to get completed before the shower as well. The baby shower theme is "Beachy"... yes, I guess baby showers have themes! My wife found an old Little Tykes car that was red and yellow and repainted it to the color scheme of the baby shower and I made a surf board that attaches to the top of it. I modified the surf board rack a little from what the pictures show. I have some small straps coming from Amazon to secure the rack and board the the top of the car. I'm also working on a mobile that mounts above the crib. Hoping to have it completed in the next few days.
  21. I always check in on the Pattern request folder, even when I'm not requesting any just to see the awesomeness that you and the other pattern designers create! You have made a few patterns for me the last few years and all that you have ever asked for is for us to show the piece when it is finished. I was more than happy to compensate you even though you refused. (Didn't know how confusing it would be to address an envelope to someone in another country! LOL) I am dreading the day that we no longer have our pattern makers for one reason or another. Thank You All.. grampa, Don, Birchtree.. haven't seen for quite a while and others! by the way, can I get a pattern? LOL
  22. Cool pattern, great job!
  23. That looks like a lot more than 134 holes, more like 1034!! LOL Next time, fold the piece of wood in half and cut the holes, then open it up and you have twice as many holes,, like using scissors on paper!! Very unique, nice job.
  24. I have 4 or 5, maybe 6 of these. My wife has one that was her Mom's. My Dad refinished it around 25-30 years ago,, it still works. The others, I have torn apart and made table stands out of them. I say go for it!
