  1. I have purchased some of their plans, they are very well detailed.
  2. Thanks for the "Shout-out" Frank. I like "Box-O-Lantern" for a name! Nice touch on beveling the top.
  3. Thanks Dick. The wife decorated for fall yesterday and set all 5 of these out on the front porch railing.

  13. Thanks Rodney!
  14. Before reading your description I thought that it looked like a pattern by Don! LOL Very nice pattern, wood, and cut... well done. Don, what font is the script writing?

  18. Thanks Don! It is the small version. I have wanted to make the larger one, just haven't done it yet. This is also the pattern I will use for my first intarsia project if I ever dip my toes in that art form.
  19. I made a few of these last year. My sister saw one that had a red/red scarf and wanted one. So I made her one and one for her friend that likes the Illinois college teams. Made from 3/4" MDF with a 1/8" BBply backer. My wife does the painting.
  20. Awesome job! Loved the movie. Great timing too with the Little League World Series going on. I used to be a huge baseball fan back when I lived in Illinois. Go Cubbies! When I moved to Florida in '89 the Cubs weren't on tv down here, so I lost interest in baseball. But I have always watch the LLWS games,, almost every game each year. One of these days I hope to make it to Williamsport and see some games in person. If not Williamsport, than maybe Warner Robbins, GA to see some of the reginal games,, it's a lot closer too. A team about 10 miles from me, Lake Mary Florida made it to the reginal this year. I usually pull for a Tennessee team as they usually make it to the finals.
  21. I don't think you can ever go wrong with putting Maple and Walnut together,,, especially with you behind the saw!
  22. I was on vacation last week and still have a couple of days left before heading back to work. Decided to make some more jack-o-lanterns. I made some 3 sides, rather large ones several years ago, but I kept finding myself watching Travis' video tutorial on his versions and decided to make some smaller ones. I just made one today to see how everything went and will make more over the next day or so. I used some old Cedar fence boards that I kept after a hurricane knocked down my fence a few years ago... Oh, side story.... I needed to change the blades on my planer before sending anymore boards thru it. So yesterday I took it all apart and reversed the blades and cleaned/lubed everything up.. looks and operates like brand new! Back to Jack... I had some orange paint that I thinned out a little so that the grain and torch marks would show. I just need to order me some LED's to finish it. I made another one of these jack-o-lanterns and received some lights that I ordered. In a couple of the pics I have just some regular tea lights in the bottoms. Another pic I have the LED light strand that I ordered,, I like both lights but the LED's can flash a variety of ways.
  23. Thank you sir, much appreciated.
  24. Thanks Melanie!
