    Genius! LOL I could see the problem with that possibly is the stock stand has one leg in the back and two on the front. I think wheels on the front two would work best but with my set-up, it's not easy to get to the back of the saw. I will play around with your idea though. I thought about the wheels that lift up when not in use allowing the stands feet to be planted on the floor but those are pricey and probably too big,, unless they come in smaller sizes. (I only remember them in one size)

    Since my shop remodel I assembled and am using the factory Dewalt stand. It works ok but I have to move it on occasion and it probably shouldn't be dragged around like I am doing. Has anyone put wheels on the factory stand? Does the stand/saw stay in place while using it or does it move around a bit? I have recently used a couple different wheels for recent projects that had the option for wheel locks, which I purchased and they work. But those applications do not have a running saw with vibrations,, not sure how good locking wheels would work. I am trying to avoid having to build my own heavy duty stand with wheels at this point. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Barry

    That's a good looking saw. I noticed the wrought iron type of handles on the front and back of your table,, I used those same ones for a BBQ tray.

    Sounds good! You can use that Echo leave blower sitting on the floor to improve on the saw's dust blower.

    I would do exactly as you mentioned. I would use 1/8" BBply to temporarily attach to the top of the Cedar and then apply the pattern. Now you got two finished pieces!

    Thanks everyone! I actually made another since I posted this thread and have another one ready to cut, once it is done I'll post a couple pics of the 2 newest ones.

    I purchased a 6 pattern set last year and made the truck then. Made the coupe today... at this rate, 4 more years and I'll have all 6 completed! LOL The coupe was made with a Cedar body and some Pine fenders. I used BLO as a finish. I knew that both the Cedar and Pine would probably not look good with any kind of finish so I took the easy way out and used the BLO. Btw, the truck has a Maple body and Walnut fenders.

    I have something similar. I don't wear it much because if you look away from the work on the saw, like another part of the shop,, things get a little dizzy. I use my readers and a lighted magnifier.

    Now you're talking! I've always liked her music and she has always been quite the looker.. even now that she is a bit older. One of the best female voices ever. Leather and Lace with Don Henley (one of the best male voices ever) is a killer song.

    Very cool. I wouldn't mind making one for my wife for Valentines Day,, but I'm feeling lazy and will just print your out and hand to her! LOL Live edge projects are the best.. I've made few myself.
