Very cool looking and clever.

Found a pic online and used it for a pattern. About 8"x11", BBply. Not sure if I will put a backer on it or leave it open. It will sit next to a Flag that I just finished making and both will sit on the outdoor fireplace mantel. The Flag is approx. 9"x 17". Included pics of with and without a backer.

My BIL passed away last March and I asked for a pattern to be made. Grandpa made me one that was really cool looking. I started cutting it last June and finally finished it a few weeks ago. Longest time ever cutting out a pattern for me! Only cut a few lines at a time, eyes kept filling up each time I would start cutting,, hard to see the lines with tears in your eyes.. LOL. Grandpa had some very detailed wheels in the pattern and I knew that I would deviated a bit when cutting them. By not cutting this pattern out in one sitting, I messed up on the wheels, front doesn't match the rear. Not a very good cut overall but it is for me and not for display. Thanks again for the pattern Grandpa! Btw,, Muscovy was his CB handle in the 70's and 80's.

You can put it in your pocket and take it everywhere you go!

It was time. I don't have much room in my shop but I made room for this. The system still isn't complete yet, not easy trying to find all the needed pipe, fittings, hoses, etc. But I'll make it work. I'm gonna try it first without having a second stage due to limited space and see how often I need to empty the bag. Once it is all put together I'll post some more pics.

I was gonna ask about mounting the light on the saw and vibration.. thanks for mentioning that. I have a floor standing light/mag. that always seem to be in the way.

I like it. I have a Johnny Cash pattern laying on a piece of Oak out in the shop,, not sure where it is at in my queue. LOL

Those are really cool! Maybe a Jaguar is in your future? LOL I wouldn't mind giving them a try,, did you find patterns online somewhere or create them yourself? Thanks, Barry

I have a piece of 1/8" plywood about 12"x14" with a 1x2 about 12" long screwed to it. Visualize a giant fly swatter,, I lay my template on it and step just outside of my shop to spray it. It also doubles as my wasp killer when they get into the shop. LOL

I too was looking for this pattern a few weeks ago and finally found it. I'm talking about the one Wichman posted. Never did cut it out thought once I found it. LOL

Saw this on offerup yesterday in Orlando... and only $100! LOL Hopefully the pic works.

I had someone build it. I wish I would have done it myself but I just didn't have anyone that could help,, those beams are heavy! Made from Cypress, the post are true 6x6's. I recently had a fireplace built, contrary to what people think.. it does get cold down here in Florida. It was 26° yesterday morning.

Cleaning up the shop a little today,, found several patterns that I forgot all about. Some of them I found were I believe made by Grandpa last year,,, maybe the year before... it's been hectic the last couple of years! He made me some word in word patterns of my hometown and my current town that I have lived in for the last 33 years along with all of the places (City and State) that my wife and I have vacationed at for the last 33 years. I planned on making them all and hanging them on the beams going around my back porch. I also found about 10 pieces of Maple that I prepped back then. So I made my hometown today. May make some more tomorrow. I started out using my favorite go to blade.. FD UR1. It didn't seem to cut very well, this Maple is 1/2" thick and hard! I switch to an Olson #3 mach speed. It seemed to cut a little better so I stuck with it but it still took just over an hour to cut. Looking at the piece now,, looks like it may be Curly Maple. It still needs a finish and a hanger installed. I also included a pic of the porch where I will hang them. It is kinda out of the weather but I'll prob use a marine spar finish on them to help protect them.

Is that Maple? How thick is the wood? Very nice job!

Nice looking clocks! I've had two Boxers, one with the ears cropped and one with the ears natural,, I like the natural a little better. Can't wait until I retire to get another Boxer.

I keep my blades in a tube,, I also keep them partially wrapped in the wire. When I need to change to a different blade I put the previous blade back in the tube separate from the wrapped blades. This way I know that the single blade is used. Sometimes a used blade is what is needed.

Made this to hang in the office at my job. I work in a milk processing plant. LOL Peeking Cow
