  1. I also use the Stick fast,, have had prob. 6 or 8 bottles in the last couple of years and only one dried up on me. I tap the bottle on the bench after using and put the cap on immediately. A few bottles that I have had,, the cap didn't close very tight so I put a piece of Glad cling wrap on first then the cap.
  2. Second picture does look better.
  3. Alligators, with an "i". I think the mouth area would look a bit better with a lighter red or even a peachy pink color. Good representation of this area. Very believable to walk outside most any where in Florida and find one!
  4. That's all beyond my capabilities,, but my wife has a Cricut and has made several things that I have used in my woodworking. I am on the team that thinks Cricut's, lasers, and CNC's are in a different category than woodworking, but it is a form of arts and crafts or computer crafts if you will. I don't knock it, but it isn't something I see myself getting into. It definitely takes skill to do the programming.. and you know what they say about opinions.
  5. Great job! I've cut something similar from Steve Good's site, just without the Second Amendment part. That part really makes it stand out. Is the pattern available?
  6. The Gentle Giant. He's right behind Merle as my all time favorites.
  7. Cool! I like the Bear and Buck the best.
  8. Dang that's a lot of holes! Turned out awesome!
  9. Nice! I received my wheels and axles in the mail today.
  10. ... and found a free scrollsaw pattern. Right there on the bag that my spicy chicken sandwich came in! LOL
  11. Very nice. I ordered the plans myself. They had a 35% discount if you order 2 or more,, so...... I just had to order 2! Not sure if I have anything thick enough for the bodies beside 2"x6" Pine. I have some 1" Cherry, Walnut, and Padauk. But I really don't want to do any glue ups. I may have some 2" thick Cedar. Oh, and some 6" thick Cypress. I still need to order some wheels and axles.
  12. You got me to thinking about it,, I went out to the shop and checked. Yep, Flying Dutchman New Spiral 2/0. It cut pretty good. I probably could have gotten by with using just one blade, but switched out to a fresh one near the end.
  13. Thanks Marg!
  14. Thanks,, appreciate you posting it. Did you use that website you mention a month or so ago to convert the picture? I can't think of the name of it right now. I was messing around with it and couldn't even come close to getting something scrollable.
  15. Thank you sir!
  16. I was at Rockler last week and bought a few pieces. The prices were actually down a couple of dollars from the week before. I have several pieces each of 1/8", 1/4", and 1/2". I should be good for several months.
  17. Last year a young fireman bought some plywood pieces that I put on OfferUp for sale. He was interested in my work back then. Last week he called me and asked for something for his girlfriend. He said she likes the Miami Dolphins. We decided on a wall plaque. It's 1/4" BBply, about 15"x15''. It is actually a bit more green in person than the pic shows.
  18. I think this is the first scroll saw item that I have used Oak for. 1/2" thick, about 6"x8". Still need to do a little sanding and decide on a backer. Used a 2/0 spiral on the whole piece. While on the bottom part, around his chin a wasp decided to play "lets scare the hell out of the person concentrating on trying to cut a straight line" and I got off the line a bit. I can sand it back smooth though. The first pic, it is just laying on a table. The second pic I was walking by the outdoor flag and lean the piece up against the flag and took a pic... kind of eerie looking. Reminds me of his song, The Ragged Ole Flag.
  19. Did you use 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" wheels? The website contradicts itself and mentions both sizes.
  20. Nice! Did you use a dremel to put some "texture" in the beard?
  21. Both are cool.. but I'm leaning towards the Cherry a bit more. Well done.
  22. If memory serves me correct, you have cut a few of these "scenes". You do an awesome job on them... too many holes for me! LOL

    Eagle

Thanks everyone! I like the Eagle better without the backer but I will attach one mainly for stability. It definitely stands out better with a backer.
  24. I appreciate everyone's words.. Thanks.
