  1. Welcome from Delaware. This is a most impressive site for scroll sawing information.
  2. Welcome from Delaware. You're gonna like it here.
  3. Welcome from Delaware. This is a most, if not the most comprehensive place for scroll saw information.
  4. I guess it's true - there is nothing new under the sun. But that is still a very cool find.
  5. Welcome from Delaware. You are in the right place.
  6. Hello and a Delaware welcome to the Village. You will like it here. And learn a lot of tips and tricks.
  7. I second that - 99% of what I've made over the past years have been using Steve Good patterns. And the folks here are a wealth of tips and tricks. A Delaware welcome to you.

    Pegas 21"

Another year of using the Pegas - not as much this year, but enough. Maintenance is the same - replaced the tiny clamps that grip the blades as they do wear. Recuring satisfied customer.
  9. Welcome from Delaware! This forum is a great place to get more tips and tricks.
  10. I use the full sheet labels most of the time. Occasionally, I'll have a pattern that I will use a box and Krylon Easy Tack spray. The box also doubles as a paint spray booth.
  11. Me Too! Welcome!!
  12. Delta 788 - now disassembled awaiting me to get replacement bearings. Which I thinking I'll never do as I have a Pegas that keeps me busy. Keeping my eyes on prices for new Delta's - the old story of price comparing a new one compared to cost of total bearing replacement.
  13. What he said and welcome from Delaware.
  14. Outstanding job! 2up.
  15. I was driving by a neighbor's house a couple years ago and saw faint smoke coming out of the basement window. Stopped and discovered it was actually the wood mulch on the ground in front of the window catching on fire from a gallon glass jar filled with water with the sun shining on it and the light passing thru the water in the jar and focused on the mulch on the ground. Fire Dept responded and put it out. My son-in-law is a Firefighter and he told me that happens (glass bottles acting as a magnifier) more than people realize.
  16. WOW-za! Nice cutting!
  17. Welcome from Delaware and by the looks of your work, we may have a thing or two to learn from you.
  18. Same here. And most times I put a sheet of the shelf liner on the wood first, then the pattern on top of that. It eliminates the need to use MS to remove the glue from the wood when done.
  19. Welcome to the Village from Delaware.
  20. Welcome from the other side of the U.S. of A.
  21. We got just shy of 4 inches of rain this morning in Dover, DE. And needed it. Just took the trash out to the road and came back moist - the humidity is waaay high! I'm OK in the garage until the temp gets above 82 (as long as I'm just sitting and cutting).
  22. Could be on the cover of an art magazine.
  23. I recently got a HF dust collector (4inch hose) and for the jointer/planer/bandsaw. For the scroll saw I use the fan and filter method, placing the fan as close as possible to the scroll saw. The other tools use a shop vac and dust deputy with a 20 foot 2 1/2" hose. Works well enough for me.
  24. I've got the DW734 and a 12" Cutech jointer and enjoy the ability to salvage wood and use it for various items (i.e.; SG's Penny Drop game). Yes, it takes some time, but I get a kick out of working with the wood (retired with the time it takes), and saving a few bucks not having to buy wood. Do have a Jet bandsaw and considering getting a smaller one to keep from having to make blade changes. Just discovered power wood carving and I have a feeling that's going cut into some scroll sawing time. heavy sigh - not enough time to in the day to do it all.
  25. And was a pretty good tennis player in his day
