  1. Waxed paper
  2. What about something like this. https://www.homedepot.com/p/MicroLux-Mini-Tilt-Arbor-Table-Saw-for-Benchtop-Hobby-Use-80463/312434052?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&&mtc=SHOPPING-BF-CDP-GGL-D25T-025_009_PORT_POWER-NA-Multi-NA-SMART-NA-NA-NA-NA-NBR-NA-NA-NA-PortPower&cm_mmc=SHOPPING-BF-CDP-GGL-D25T-025_009_PORT_POWER-NA-Multi-NA-SMART-NA-NA-NA-NA-NBR-NA-NA-NA-PortPower-71700000106625794-58700008274559054-92700076261262900&gclid=Cj0KCQjw7uSkBhDGARIsAMCZNJtJh4oNmZBAOBf4xbzNPsgQ6bVuwHkXx_9cLuxPE0H4U42IC_r_mfUaArx1EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds or. https://www.micromark.com/MicroLux-Mini-Tilt-Arbor-Table-Saw-for-Benchtop-Hobby-Use_2?gclid=Cj0KCQjw7uSkBhDGARIsAMCZNJsy4T2kV-oTNtqbFFeGY215lfIZauJEp-S6Zu3uMIDW6jG9HgiSVNIaAnLnEALw_wcB
  3. Perhaps this could be an interesting eagle pattern . Photo by my wife.
  4. Well . . . I lost a testicle to a table saw kick back so maybe just counting fingers is not quite enough.
  5. I had the Ridgid in my furniture shop for many years. It worked flawlessly the entire time. I used the belt as much as the spindle.
  6. I have purchased from Ocooch and quality was excellent. One problem I did encounter was humidity difference between where it is milled and my location was different so as is acclimatized to my environment in sometimes cured slightly, but seldom enough that it was not usable.
  7. looks like chop sticks in hand - so I would guess Karate Kid
  8. Like those designs and your putting them on a baord with a handle is an intriguing idea. Also wondering what the wood is on that beautiful table. At first I thought it is Cherry but looking closer I'm not so sure. Did you make it, can't imagine it is from a furniture store? Positioning of each board in the glue up is well done.
  9. Your use of the grain in the beach area is superb.
  10. I would test first. The alcohol the shellac is dissolved in will contain some water. don't think it is enough to make the water colors run but you should test to be sure.
  11. Solid wood will move with humidity changes. For something with that size diameter I think BB plywood would be a much better choice.
  12. I always cut mine free hand. And would sometimes cut diagonally into the corner so there were no 90 degree cones pieces to help start assembly.
  13. Google "what font is this' it will give you 3 sites that might work
  14. Brand and model would be helpful.
  15. Re: laminating your own wood - suggest you consider 1/8 BB and veneer it. Veneer of about any wood you want is available. ( see here https://www.veneersupplies.com/categories/Raw__Wood__Veneer/Wood__Veneer__A__-__G/ ). Not sure want your budget would be but a good pump and bag would be around $350
  16. Thanks for this reminder. I almost made a mistake trying to help my daughter get a small business going.
  17. When I was making custom hardwood furniture the planer and drum sander were of equal importance. When it was available I bought rough lumber and did a lot of resawing and planing/sanding to need thickness. Was often able to to get two boards where with surfaced lumber could get only one.
  18. I found when I was making custom furniture that Zinsser will impart a little yellow/amber tint to the wood which gets worse with the more coats used. Suggest you consider buying Plantina or Supper Blond flakes and dissolving it in denatured alcohol yourself. A good source for shellac flakes is https://www.shellacshack.com/colors.html
  19. Reminds of Dorothea Lange's dust bowl photos. Poignant!
  20. You could try emailing them to yourself and then open the email on your computer and drag them to a picture folder on your computer.
  21. 30 hours to put it back together - - how many hours to cut?
  22. I had the 16" Laguna - a truly great machine. Also had the resew King blade. Never the slightest bit of drift with that saw and blade. You will enjoy it.
  23. I agree mostly with Frank. Also I find the grain pattern on the backer in the lower right distracting. It draws the eye away from the main part. I do like the irregularity of the backboard staining. Looking forward to your next project.
  24. Fiona Kingdon has a similar pattern. https://www.fionakingdon.com/scrollsaw-patterns/entwined-trees-heart-scrollsaw-pattern-instant-download
  25. if you can spray outside or in front of an exhaust fan (because the solvent vapor is toxic) I would suggest Lacquer. It will not give any color to your wood. Otherwise you might consider a water based lacquer - I think Target coatings makes one. The problem with about any water based finish is they may raise the grain a little.
