  1. Anyone can make frames if you take the time. I almost enjoy making a frame as much as the scroll. Its all a part of the whole project.
  2. But The basement is cozy if you have a fireplace down there. My two favorites are Angel From Montgomery and Clocks and spoons.
  3. This is definitely on my top portraits. I play and sing several John Prine songs so I am keeping this one and putting it on my music wall. The piece is poplar planed down to 1//2”. The frame I wanted to make as unique as John Prine himself so I used 1-1/4 maple butcher block counter top.
  4. I have decided to give this my my Daughter in law for Christmas instead of selling it. I am giving 5 or 6 different portraits away for Christmas this year. It's been a tough year for sales so I will use them as presents.
  5. Here is todays project. IESUS NAZARENVS REX IVDAEORVM is what was written on a pice of rough wood above Jesus head on the cross. I cut it out of SUPER old pine from here on our property. I did a little chiseling to make it look as I wanted and then slightly stained it with golden oak stain, trying to keep the wormholes unstained.
  6. You did an absolutely fabulous Job. It has been my favorite project so far. I tried to make the majority of the cuts very sharp and pointy. I uses #1 and #2/0 blades. I am not a spiral blade fan but I did use them for the fingers and some of the wood details.
  7. These are some little plaques I am giving away to some people in a group that I attend. The one that says Brothers is for my Brother. I made another for me so we could have a matching set.
  8. Here is my latest Portrait, Just in time for Christmas. By far my favorite pattern as it was hand drawn by Charlie E. The piece is Poplar with rough sides. The Frame is rough cut Poplar and Oak splines.
