  1. Great job. I love the frame.
  2. I havent been in the shop as much these last few days. My sons house got hit during these Mississippi tornados so my wood working has been with a chainsaw and a backhoe. His family was good, no major structure damage but he did lose both vehicles. I have managed to make a couple little saying plaques. Hope you all made it through any storms okay.
  3. Love the walnut one.
  4. You do soooo many fun projects. They all look good also.
  5. Great cut and awesome words!
  6. Looks better than them in person for sure!!
  7. I think it is a great piece and turned out exactly how it was supposed to. I have a great wall and an address if you want to ship it. I would definetely hang a good one like that up!!
  8. I know the feeling Rodney for sure. And you absolutely got the joke on that one.
  9. The box is 5.5"w x 5.5"d x 4.5"h. The box joints are 3/8. Most are the boxes I make are in that size range. I call them God Boxes, write down what is bothering you and put it in the box for God to deal with. The font is called Noteworthy. I slanted each row how I wanted the lettering to look. Thanks for the compliments.
  10. Here is my latest box. It is made out of a white poplar and some old mahogany for the top. I love cutting lettering and have gotten away from it some. This little saying (This too shall pass) is one of my favorites and isn't meant to go in the bathroom when constipated.
  11. How funny. I was just going to make a post about this. I had the same story. I places an order Sunday of 3 different size blades and 3 dozen each and received my package today. I was super impressed with the packaging. All blades attached to a cardboard backer in their own row, all nice and organized. @Denny KnappenFor someone like me, things like that really matter!!!
  12. I just have been walking to the shop super slow, my peace and serenity are in there. Thanks for the kind words.
  13. Dick I was born in Colorado and partly raised there. I spent a good deal of my life in Arizona. I found NorthEast Mississippi 30 years ago and fell in love with it here. I have some family left outside of Denver and some family In the New Mexico Mountains. I still love to visit the west and LOVE Western things but now my heart is in the best place on earth where people are still polite, where kids still call you sir and where the grass and trees are greener than anyplace else on earth. Northeast Mississippi50 miles south of Tennessee and 10 miles east of Alabama.
  14. I have been on Amioderone for 5 years. It is super bad for your liver and Thyroid. Since I was an active alcoholic for many years he said the procedure would for sure benifit me to get me off the medicine. The great news is that my heart is now pumping at 30%
  15. I see a lot of people using spiral blades on their projects. I have used them on 1 project in the shop because it was oversized and was not suited for a regular blade. I myself still do not like them. I don't have the control and like to get the sharp points and corners. I don't mind all of the turning on the wood as for me that is what scrolling is. My go to blades are Flying Dutchman 1's and 3's for scrolling and 5's for bowls. I am going to also be switching to the Pegas MGT blades as I have heard nothing but good about them. What do you use and why?
  16. I wanted to get one of those at Lowes. My Son (Been at Lowes 11 years) kept his eyes out every day for one, maybe in an odd place as stuff gets put back wherever in those stores. He finally came across one but I had already bought one off amazon. I use mine all of the time. They are great.
  17. Keep it up. I hope his dinner was good!
  18. Those are spiffy.
  19. That is super neat.
  20. There is a lot of little holes in that one!
  21. I am in awe over that one. It is beautiful!!
  22. I had to have an Ablation on my heart, where they cauterize parts of it. I have only been in the shop a little because of some afterwards chest pain and groin discomfort. I decided on one harder project, the bowl (alder and oak) and 2 easy bird houses. They all turned out pretty well. If anyone wants a copy of my bowl pattern, let me know.
  23. This is a clock that I make with my first year sobriety chips.
  24. Great job.
