Hello Chuck. First, to comment on what Frank saw as being unfinished areas in the cut piece, I believe that is actually glue that hasn't dried completely. If I have glue that squeezes out between the cuts, I'll let the glue almost set and then use a small pick or probe to scrape it out. It usually comes out pretty easily if it sets up a little while. If you try to get it out to soon, the glue is soft and just spreads. If you leave it alone it usually dries clear but will be very glossy which can sometimes clash with your finish project. I love the pattern and you did great on the cutting. I do see some "fuzzies" which is inevitable. I usually tackle mine with needle files or a strip of sandpaper. On my last couple projects I have taken the advice of some of the forum members and tried burning them off with a torch. This worked great as long as you don't leave the torch in one spot long enough to cause scorching to your piece. I've also found if I'm getting a lot of fuzzies when I'm cutting, the blade is probably dull and needs to be changed. Understand that I certainly don't have the experience to critique someone else's work. I'm just passing along what I've experienced and how I corrected it.

Not sure if you did the pattern but both the pattern and the cutting are great.

Very nice as always, Frank. I'd have to use a pint of glue putting pieces back together if I did something like that. As far as the frame, you have already commented that you've made arrangements with the client. My opinion is that it would look good with the framing like on the wolf Dave posted. Just my opinion.

I think it turned out great. I've often thought of filling cuts with epoxy but haven't tried it yet. Glad to know it will work.

Nice work, Barb. I understand doing something "just because." I finished a Jim Blume pattern a few weeks ago and decided to cut a few ornaments. Today I was going to start another of Jim's patterns when I realized the blade I had in the saw was a rather new Pegas #1 MGT. Rather than switch it to a spiral that I needed for Jim's pattern, I decided to cut a few more ornaments... "just because." Anyway, I finished the ornaments and did get started on Jim's pattern.

Great job and the paint is a hit! Don't know how you gave the white texture but I had to look twice to realize it was actually painted.

I thought I had all the Americana series printed out and ready to cut. Now I find there is another? Anyway, you did a fantastic job, Al. I would have never known you did a little "table editing" as Jim called it.

Great work, Frank. But I've learned to expect nothing less from you. These horse portraits would go over big in my rural, horse-country area. The only problem with the horse-country area I live in is they are poor horsemen. (I should say "broke" horsemen because they treat their horses better than their selves, not that they treat their horses badly.)

Congrats on the Pegas chucks. I wish my saw would accept them. It's so aggravating to clamp down on a blade only to feel it slip when you put tension one it. And the pattern you are working on looks very challenging.
