  1. Great question. Now the rules will be set! Obviously I don't know.
  2. Where is it? What did you say?
  3. Very nice, I like the mix of colors also.
  4. BLO mix is Boiled Linseed Oil mixed 1/2 & 1/2 with lacquer thinner. If I have this right: * BLO by itself takes ages to dry, mixed with lacquer thinner speeds the drying. * BLO mix is a mixture that is similiar to Danish oil. I put two coats of Blo and when dry I coat with Lacquer.
  5. Wow, I pray all are safe. That is huge. and speaking of fire, I have to start up my wood stove soon
  6. Welcome to SSV. Ask anything, post pictures, join the discussions and continue to forge ahead.
  7. BLO mix topped off with laquer
  8. Soak it all in, some day it will all mix together and I'll .... know what to do.
  9. You ask for intarsia help and get novices replying. You may want to repost under some title asking for advice. Anyway, looking good to me...
  10. Here is a hug from me across the waves to all three of you. An appreciative daughter helping her mom and dad, a thankful father and husband and an obviously loved wife and mother.
  11. Hummingbird!. What you have shown here is far beyond that description. It amazed me and took me a moment to obsorb the complete picture. Beautiful incorporation of two talents.
  12. Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you!!!

    any body home

    I just got home......
  21. Yessir, nice saw. Ready to go. Wanna see that first one cut.
  22. Neither. I think it's the thickness of the wood that determines how delicate some cuts are. not necessarily stacking. One problem with stacking it not having the blade and table "squared". If you are not at 900 , then the bottom and top will not match. Causing delicates to break out. When the table and blade are at 90 degrees and a sharp blade, all will be well!!!
  23. Look at doing three like it was just one. Using 1/4" (Luan,BB or ply pressbd). Hot glue them together on corners (throw away spot) Do the delicate cuts first. More detail: I use "Glad Press & Seal" (You can see thru it), roll it on the wood. Attach pattern on Press&Seal w/spray glue Top with packing tape. Stack four if you are concerned about breakout.
  24. There goes your fire wood supply. That's a good idea and look nice too.
  25. The Minions are " I Make em ", " I break em ", and " Rules don't apply " personalities. Minion Bob is a " I make em " type Minion. He's just named Bob, like you.
