I stacked cut these two. Cut with a Olsen 1D .026 x .013 30TPI * Top one is Magnolia with the bark on top and bottom 5/8" thick * Bottom one is 1/4" Oak Lauan with 1/4" lauan backer. 1/2" thick Both are 13 1/2" x 4 1/2"

15TPI is a little agressive. As for FD or Olsen, I lean toward Olsen but like FD also. I think there is a majority here that leans to FD blades. As for,'you get what you pay for.', Olsen & FD run about $2.50 a dozen... thats a reasonably cheap price...today.

Check out the grain pattern on these pictures. See anything odd? It's the grain!!!!!!!!! It is repeated... How do they do this? Is it photographed on? I bought some lauan today that has a repetative grain pattern on it. Thought it quite attractive. Nice looking. How do they 'photograph' the grain on the lauan? Never saw it before. Then, I've never bought lauan before.

Anna and Anthony.... Welcome!!! Enjoyed reading your INTRO. Jatoba, I had some Jatoba once. There is no real help on cutting Jatoba. New blades, go slow. Maybe metal cutting blades and maybe someone who cuts MDF will tell what blades they use
