  1. You did quite good. I like them.
  2. I visited my neighbor last night and asked if he had a newspaper I could use. "Hey, this is 2015" He said, "We don't have news papers, here, use my IPAD." I can tell you this, that fly never knew what hit him...
  3. In the last few days, my Delta 40-694 developed a kinda loud clanging. I took it apart once and greased some bearings. Saw nothing obvious. It is Back together and still rattling. It is the lower arm but I cannot tell if it is front or back. The sound travels the cover plate. I'm guessing it is in the back. I am taking it apart again. Don't know what to look for. It cuts good, just noisy
  4. Don't repeat this but I like what you do with wood. Nice job.
  5. Welcome Pete, while you are waiting on your saw, fix us a full English breakfast. A coffee for meand everyone this side of the pond, cup teeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee for Bob, Earl Grey for Roly, Chai for Marg. I've missed lots of folks so fix have extra. After that, start reading the posts here. Plans in your head shows you are a true woodworker. Tell us what saw you are getting.
  6. yOUR WORK IS ALWAYS A TREAT TO VIEW. Thank you for sharing.
  7. Don, this is very nice... Ilike this... If the guy wants this cut, I gotta check out how I'll cut that grip.

  9. That's cool, I like how each name fits inside the circle. Great looking and I understand why people like them.
  10. Hey Daniel, welcome! You gotta get started and cut that first piece with the Dewalt. There are a lot of simple yet great patterns. Crosses, stars and leaves. I cut a lot of leaves from Oaks, maples, birch and my Wife keeps most of them. Lots to learn and it is a relaxing, rewarding and enjoyable hobby.
  11. I have a request to cut this Colt Python. A pattern of just the pistol and not the logo of course. Hope it's not too dark. Good looking pistol. Your help is greatly appreciated. God bless

  13. Gollly geee, you ain't even asked a question Really glad yer here. Really though, there are about six answers for every question. Yes do post pictures. I like to ask about what saw you have. Welcome and glad you joined .
  14. That's good news. I'll try poplar. I made one for the coffee pot out of ??? 1/2" solid wood. Made coffee and had a wobbly pot. Tried 3/4 solid birch, still the heat caused it to bow.
  15. I have two Deltas...40-690 and the newest 40-694.... Realize that the Delta 40-694 most likely is sold without a table or light. I built my own table and bought a light for $5 at a 'Mission'. They are a good saw.
  16. Dan, to you and your family, I wish a great and Merry Christmas. God Bless you all. I ran out of 'likes', maybe I'll get some more before Christmas.
  17. Hey Jim, Glad you joined us. Having a 'blast' huh. Watch out, it's addicting. What saw do you have and what have you cut with it? Great idea to do some motorcycle race cuttings.
  18. That is Nice! Well cut. Beautiful butterfly
  19. Marg Merry Christmas! That looks like a happy village and it is beautiful. A great looking tree.
  20. A big cheer from me. I enjoyed cutting the 'word' FAMILY. Not only is it a great saying but it also is outstanding when cut and finished. I cut two and sold them. I am currently cutting two more. I love scrolling and chatting about it.
  21. The impossible done and it is beautiful. That is 'nice'. LOVE it

    Hello

Tino, A big WELCOME from me too. I'm sure Travis would welcome a little support. On the HOME page is a link for the members to support this great Village, (SSV Support). Though not necessary for membership and all the free patterns, advise and help, it's only $10 a year and helps cover some of the cost running the Village. Well worth it! The only real requirement is for you to cook breakfast in the Village Cafe once a week for the gang. We like pictures
  24. I'll bring yours and Bob's .... problem is, I may have to eat both on the journey.
