  7. Separate! Unless the frame is part of the scrollwork. Or you want it to be. Finished together means you can not use a different frame.
  8. Listen to a clock maker, Oldhudson The cross grain of plywood makes it much more stable than lumber. Less affected by changes in humidity and temperature which is important in a wooden clock. You can't make a Rolex with Timex parts.

  12. I love cutting horses and you did a fantastic job. Staining is scarry to me. I like Ron's idea except I would do gray. Backgrounds can be experimental until you attach them. Colors: Sorrel, Buckskin, Chestnut,Palomino. Almost any brown. Blacks are 'shiny' they gleam and sparkle. Go big and make one with each a slightly different color.

  23. That is a 'fairy' good job Matt. I like the contrasting base and the run of the grain. That would please any young lady.
  24. My shop looks a litle different than that but it's organized about the same. I started cleaning a storage area so I could make elbow room in my shop. Took out two car loads of junk and it still looks about the same.
