  1. My tiger Cribbage Board. The wood is Ash and the finish is lacquer 10 1/2" x 12" by 1" thick. *I do not have the name of the Tiger pattern maker The pattern maker did a great job on this simple to cut tiger. *The cribbage pattern by Wilson Woodworks (Thank you soon to be married Danny) Oh yes I do enjoy cutting these cribbage boards. Especially Grampa's Lake Fishing one. I sold it May 28th for $110. Now I have to replace it That backlogs me with three in the works and my wife suggested I cut a deer also. Whew !! Any comments welcome.
  2. Precise lettering, looks good.
  3. Love the red Oak Dan, Very nice cutting and finish
  4. Beautiful nativity. Really nice. From reading the comments, I am not a good one for pricing.
  5. Thomas Mckinley, looks like this one would teach how to cut curves. You did a good job. Nice first post! Mistakes are for you to know and hide. Are you going to frame it?
  6. How regal a bird. The wood has unusual color and adds a nice background. I'd like a copy, thank you.
  7. Ships in a stormy sea, looked like it would be a bit dicey. You did a great job. So good that I did not even notice the framing. I'll have to look again. Good job, on that.
  8. I suggest you cut it again using a new blade, same type. Not much of a suggestion but you may figure it out on your own.
  9. Might help if you explained your problem.
  10. Very nicely done. I like the way you overlayed. Very ornate and the cross at the bottom is a nice add.
  11. Daniel, when you finish it later, be extra careful and don't mess it up. Because it is beautiful the way it is. Larry
  12. What ever gave you that idea? Like Ron said, 'Put a motor on 'em ' Great inovation and nice recycling. Larry
  13. Very nice unique box. Isn't it nice to know there is not and will not be another like it.
  14. Wow Don. Beautiful bird. I love a falcon's look and you nailed it.
  15. Oh wow, this could be a long story. I have at least 100 finished and if you count duplicates, at least 150. I'm running out of room to store. They are all what I wanted to cut. A pattern that caught my eye. Projects without a 'planned' purpose. I am finishing up my 9th cribbage board. I don't have anyone to play cribbage with. Don't know any local cribbage players. Hey, and I have two others in beginning stages. I see then as beautiful works, a cribbage board surrounding different scroll patterns. I've cut animals wild and tame for the beauty they have in wood. I saw a gear clock by Steve Good. I made 14, different woods, different shades, because I liked them. I think I sold 3 or 4, have 4 left, gave the others away. Baskets are easy, I stopped making them when my Wife said, " STOP ". Roly got me intp crosses... I give them away but still have a bunch on a shelf. Enough you say... Larry
  16. I'll start with the frame, It does look great. The portrate look super. Love the hair
  17. Ah, now my neck doesn't hurt when I talk to you. I don't use lemon oil. I use either BLO then coat with lacquer Or I use straight lacquer. Either accentuates the grain quite well. This makes 'curly' maple just POP. There are lemon users here so I'm sure you'll get a better answer.
  18. That is nice!!! Hey, and the clock will help the guitar player keep time...
  19. Do a search on golden acrylic image transfer
  20. Your first time or not. you did an admirable job on your wood printing. I did 'Image Transfers' for a few years on my other wood hobbies. Here is some of what I learned. * Print a mirror image. Be prepared to print a second copy. Your image transfer can only be as good as your print. So be sure your print is of good quality. * The bare wood must be as smooth as possible. But not necessarily flat. rounded can work also. Porous woods are not a good choice unless filled and prepared. * Be patient and take your time * Here is what I did that worked quite well. Purchase a Matte Medium. I used GOLDEN by Golden Artist Colors www.Goldenpaints.com This is a 100% acrylic polymer emulsion. Cut from the paper the image you want to transfer, brush a thin layer of the polymer on the image to be transfered. The ink must be damp with the polymer. Being sure all the ink is covered. What is not covered will not transfer. Position the paper on the wood and using a roller, roll until you press out all the polymer you can. Let dry, even set over night. Remove the paper, the ink has transfered. Apply a finish over top If you do not like it, the ink is removable and can be re-applied. You can do a search on Matte Medium Image transfer.. maybe more info. The only image trsf picture I have available other than signs on my cabins
  21. Sorry Keefie, it's part of the show when you work the machine.
  22. Just as long as you are still scrolling. And plan on showing your works of art
  23. A great gumball machine. I like it all. The color makes it stand out. DW, bet you didn't expect it to dispense porn also....lol Larry
  24. Hans, That is a beautiful tricycle. Crafted perfectly and painted with precision. Just adorable.
  25. If I could do this anonymously, I would, but you asked for it. LOL... just kidding. Here's my thoughts. The painting on the flowers looks good. But it makes the rest of it look unfinished. JMHO Larry
