  8. This scrap ply is resting on a lazy Susan, so it's easy as pie to spin it while I spray. My wife would call it a lazy 'Berry' ... maybe a Spinning Susan This is an educational post
  9. To repeat you, "This is a nice repurposed wood basket." You have some great baskets. Where did you get your patterns? Larry

  11. Sam the Man, check out the pattern Brian just added in the 'General Scroll' section. It's a heart clock that youyr wife should like. It's beautiful and easy. I'm going to cut it. Oh, Welcome Larry
  12. I've had the "grub screw" Roly's term loosen up and back out causing my blade to bend. A little thread lock and I'm good for a few months. Or just like Dick said. Also check both top and bottom.
  13. Looks good Dick. Very nice job. Larry
  14. Lindsay, My thoughts Practice brings to mind that you will be tossing what you cut. Find a pattern you like that has a look that you can do it. Approach cutting the pattern to finish it and learn as you go. If...if at some point you consider it a throw away, then I guess you practiced. But what if your practice piece comes out just perfect on an ugly piece of wood. Again, find a pattern you like, a wood that goes with it and cut it with the intent it 'will' be a gift to someone... maybe yourself. I hang my mistakes on my garage wall and to my surprise, I've had admirers. Just cut it.... Larry
  15. She's home now. In some ways that is sad and yet it is nice. Larry

Barbara, Small pattterns are nice also. We are addicted to scroll sawing and enjoy pictures of projects small and large. Even pictures of the project in stages. Also, as you may already know there are many patterns right here in the Village. Larry
  23. Welcome to the Village Chris. Glad you joined. We are picture deprived here so we are always ready for a photo. Especially anything scrollsaw related. Please post a pic of your fretsaw and results of your sawdust. What is the cigarette relationship in this. I couldn't grasp that. Oh yes...grumpy's get picked on. Larry
