  1. Darcy, can't help you on where to get the best price but if you find a special deal, let me know. Larry
  2. Fay, Do you have an arrival date? Do you have some wood and a pattern ready? You going to free hand a heart for valentines day? Be careful, They are heavy, need two people. Yippee, whoopie, hurrah............... Larry
  3. It is unusual and it is well cut. Onder, does this represent something? Larry
  4. Just for birds and grins. Maybe you did research on finishes for bird houses. If not, before you do put a finish on the next one, read this article: Click here: Painting Bird Houses - Should You Paint Bird Houses? That said, I think you did a perfect job on the beehive bird house. Larry
  5. Kevin, the ones I saw are beautiful keepers. They are like the grayhound that has finished their racing life. They still have beauty and want to be loved. Keep them and maybe someday, a little touch up. Consigned or not, they are your works. Larry
  6. #3 ,4 ,5 are very nice with the #4 as my favorite. Nice , very nice Larry
  7. Very good , love the color. Larry
  8. Kevin, Don't fret....lol, well yes, do 'fret' but don't sweat it. One day at a time ... scroll a little here, fret a little there...... I like partial box 8 or 9 Larry
  9. I like that !! Larry
  10. Congratulations! It's a 'win' 'lose' situation. I sold it and then I missed it. Larry
  11. I like the decorations on the welcome sign. Very very nicely done. Larry
  12. I do not like repeat requests. I run scared that the second will not live up to the first. BUT, I have repeated many patterns because I liked the pattern and I really enjoyed cutting them for myself. This way I am not under pressure to satisfy a 'customer'. Once cut, then I welcome a 'customer'. Larry
  13. You have a winner there!!! I kinda feel for the guy in the water. Larry
  14. Humming Birds are beautiful and that is a beautiful Humming Bird. Larry
  15. I don't understand !! Is this correct? The thumb screw has threads running from the tightning knob to within 1/8 inch of the end. IE: the threads stop about 1/8 inch from the end where it contacts the blade. You have a problem with the threads stripping near the knob area??? and not near the blade area. Possibly the first few female threads are out of whack. Retaping the female threads will help. Use the SAME thread. Don't change the thread. JMHO Thats my thoughts..... Larry
  16. The newer Deltas have a thumb screw (like the Dewalts I suppose) to tighten the blades. The blade opening on the table is small and needs no ZCInsert. I would guess my Delta table blade opening is 1/4" wide x 1" long.
  17. Very nice work on both. I especially like the frames. They look like adjustable mirrors. You're supposed (not) mention the type wood you used. I did see you used an outlet for a size reference. Anyway, I got a little side tracked. I like them!!! Larry
  18. Welcome Julie, There's a ' little unwritten rule ' that you have to tell what kind of scrollsaw you have that hasn't arrived yet. The Excaliber, Hegner, Dewalt, Hawk, etc folks want to know so they have a little ego boost. Me... I don't care. Julie, if you like wood, scrollsawing will become more than a hobby. It 'morphs' into an addiction. A love of creating images with wood. There is much support here, take advantage of it. I would like to see you unpack but mostly I want to see a scroll work you finish. Larry
  19. I do not dislike spirals, I just like the flat blades. I'll keep dancing with what brung me here. When I find it necessary to use a spiral I will. I categorize the spiral users as the serious minded group. Spiral users are more focused while flat bladers are more relaxed. Just kidding you serious guys (:>)))))) Larry
  20. Fay, Grab your blow torch ...I mean your pyro and start burning while you are waiting. So sorry !! Larry
  21. Dan, that's nice work... Larry
  22. Thank you, I'll check it out. Larry
  23. Welcome!!!! Do you scroll using any petrified wood? I saw the antler and wondered...not really (:>)))))) 15 years qualifies you to be the first to answer any scroll questions. Again...welcome Larry
  24. Just weekends? LOL (:>))))))) Welcome! Larry
  25. That is a pleasant work to look at. A great piece that looks as if knitted or is that crochet. A beautiful delicate piece. Have your eyes adjusted yet? Larry
