  4. Betty is a wood burner that wants a pattern I cannot see. Travis found her one that said there was beer for free. The pattern says to my sorrow the beer is free tomorrow.

  6. If it is cold in your shop and you are using a drill press, take off your gloves!!
  7. Start with a less complicated one. Make sure ther are sufficient anchors or bridges to hold the work together. Sometimes a work becomes too delicate because you did not study the portrait pattern and plan for proper supports as you cut. Two cuts too close together leaving a piece in crisis of falling out. Look where you will end up at the end of a cut and do that before and during your cut. Larry

  14. Local stores are too high priced and have poor selection. Actually by calling either MIke or Sloans, you could get their opinion as to what blades you should get. Best idea I've had today... Larry

  21. What blades would you have in a starter kit for a new scroller? Two types of course: 1. Spiral 2. Flat Flats (I seldom use spiral): Width thickness Teeth # 2/0 .022 x .010 33 TPI # 1 .026 x .011 28TPI # 3 .031 x .013 24 TPI # 5 .037 x .015 17 TPI Thats mine.
  22. I like your first cut. It's a keeper! Your blades are standard Sears blades. I have those blades. Depending on what you cut, you may want a wider selection of blades. I think I will put out a new post asking " Blades for a new scroller " Look for it. Larry
