  1. YES for sure
  2. Like many of you, I give a lot away. When I do sell, I have an odd pricing system. First by the number of holes I drilled, but that is an estimate since I do not count or I forgot, so I estimate. I charge 50 cents per hole. Second is a combination of the type of wood, was it stack cut, did I have to frame it and how much I like it. Not much of a system but it is simple for me. As you may have guessed, my prices fluxuate a little. Larry
  3. Well I'll be, looks just like them. Great job. Larry
  4. Here is Herman Munster
  5. Onder, you have a pattern and scroll cut that is Frankenstein. It also looks a little like a television show charactor named Herman Munster. Also I think Frankenstein actor in movies was named Boris Karloff. Does that help? Larry
  6. Yes the hawk is very good. I did not get to look at them all. I did look at Herman Munster or is that Boris Karloff? Well whichever, I like it also Larry
  7. Welcome Onder. We all would enjoy seeing your pattern design and scroll saw cuts. Larry
  8. The topic title may be mis-leading but... tracyguy's post for Air Pump prompted this. No I do not know of one. My computer is too slow to do the research. I suspect there is a miniature vacuum you can attach to eliminate most of the dust created by the scroll saw. This would be quite beneficial to those who have breathing problems. Most of you who read this have the ability to do the research. I was able to find one that runs from a USB port. Experimental, I don't know. Is there a quiet miniature vacuum that could be adapted for use on a scroll saw? Well, there should be. Larry
  9. I don't have an answer but that begs a question. " Why are vacuums not used? " An air hose just distributes the dust. A vacuum eliminates most of it. Just an oddball question. Larry
  10. Cold, it is cold. Without my kerosene heater I'd be bonkers. But would I trade cold for lotsa rain? aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggggg
  11. Thats a top notch job on all three. Larry
  12. Nuthin'. I use my forearm Larry
  13. I'm with DonR. Only difference is I use Rust-oleum Lacquer. I have never cleaned my Elmers Spray Adhesive either. But Jim, that don't solve your problem...unless...unless you use a less expensive brand... NAH So Jim follow Keith and Rob Roy (RR)'s advice. Larry
  14. I take my eyes off the scroll work much too often to use spirals
  15. Had a thought,,, Dan the two saw man... Buy a piano bench, set up two saws. When you get tired cutting on one, just slide down a couple feet and start cutting on the other. Efficiency to the max. Larry
  16. Looks great, looks really good. Next you'll be building a bailer, a set of plows, and a hay wagon. It looks like a photo. Larry
  17. Good job Dan, thank you for the "Show and Tell". That adds to the enjoyment of viewing a scroll work. Larry
  18. Wow, he's no ordinary Yuto...uh Joe.
  19. Hey Pat, looks like you are a 'natural' scroll saw addict. Welcome ! I'll bet all my sawdust there is a member from Maryland. Keep us updated on how your chainsaw mill works. Just bundle up for that cold weather. It's four degrees here in the Southern Tier of New York. With my kerosene heater, my shop warms up to an almost comfortable 35. And again, welcome.. Larry

    hi

I too am welcoming you to SSV and since you enjoyed scrolling with your Dad, scroll on and each piece will be in memory of him. Hey Richcop, I thought it would be "Rich Texan" Ok, lets "scroll"... friend Larry
  21. Gary I have not seen a scroll saw on display in any store. Scroll saws are not a big sell like table saws, drill presses, compressors Home Depot and Lowes sell Dewalt also. Dewalt is a good saw. But if you are not satisfied, it is earier to return to a store than repack and ship it back to "Granger" Delta and Dewalt are basically the same saw. Used to be that Delta came w/stand and Dewalt did not. You had to buy stand separate. Enough from me... Larry
  22. Got a wood burner? Make bridges and then "BURN THE BRIDGES". Larry
  23. Oh yes, that sounds great.
  24. Very good Mel !! Looks great to me. Larry
  25. Go to this link and read... won't solve pin to pinless but will give you an idea what you may want to do. In reading, there are sawyers that use pin end saws for patterns that have no (or very, very few) inside cuts and pin end saws work for Intarsia artists. Scroll sawing is addicting to many, as I am one, but I imagine almost all started with a pinless saw. Sloans wood shop say 'Sorry but no one makes a pinned spiral blade' Click here: Converting scroll saw - Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts Message Board Larry
