  1. I see some of you are playing Scrabble or maybe Wild Jamble. 30,000 40,000, 60,000 dollar vehicles sitting idle. Not good to invest in auto stock. All those cars and trucks don't include the ones at your local auto dealer. 1,000's x $50,000 = millions of dollars sitting in parking lots. But basically, none of this has effected my life.
  2. Hey Michael, Glad you joined us. Be nice to hear a little about you, what saw you use, what you like to make, where you live. WE love to here about you.
  3. Yea, there is always something left.....
  4. Hey Tom, Welcome to SSV. It is good you are asking and learning about blades. Read Woodworking & Crafts link to choosing the right blade. Choosing the Right Blade - Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts A couple thoughts: Wood type/hardness and thickness will require different blades ( How hard is the wood you are cutting? Go to the Janka Hardness Chart ) Don't buy a bunch of blades right off the bat. Different wood and patterns may require selective blades. Eventually you will need containers to keep them organized and labeled. Show us your first project and pile up that sawdust
  5. Hey, when you have scroll saws you have other tools. Sanders planers, drills, bandsaws and all those extras.
  6. In memory of my Susan, Proverbs 31.26 She speaks with wisdom and faithful instruction is on her tongue. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL MOMS!
  7. Rocky's suggestion is a good one, ARTCRAFTERSONLINE.COM You could ask the question here in 'Scrollers Q&A' but then you would get more that one suggestion. Denny should lead you in the right direction. he has a scroll saw business and is a member here.
  8. I do not take tension off bandsaw or scroll saw
  9. Good job. Stay 'cool' Frank.
  10. Here is my 'Two Bits' The table insert is OK sitting East to West, the opening only needs to be enough so the blade is free of obstructions. The length of the blade is made so it can be clamped top and bottom and tightened. The toothed section length is only important to have teeth above the table top to make contact with the wood. Have you tried cutting with the saw? I would suggest you attach a blade and turn the saw on. Try cutting a piece of scrap wood. If that works then you are in business. A pinned blade saw is not made for delicate FRET work but for cutting outlines which is why most members have PINLESS blade saws. Very pleased to have you as a member, the best to you and may you start pilling up the saw dust.
  11. For me to answer, I would need to see a picture of the saw blade and the saw. Sounds like you have a saw that takes pinned blades
