My wife was ill for 3 years and I was her full time care giver which was very stressful at times. I had  taken her to all kinds of specialists but no one was able to come up with a definitive prognosis. I lost the love of my life on Saturday 08/29. She was on Hospice care for a week, slipped into a coma and died peacefully. She passed just 2 days before we would have celebrated our 52nd anniversary.

It was devestating to watch her suffer for such a long time but at least she does not have to endure pain any longer. I will miss her dearly and it will be a hard time for me to adjust to the fact that I will not see her anymore. Please keep me in your prayers.

Dear Mike. I am so very sorry for your loss.  Almost 52 years married is a wonderful thing  Sorry that the last were more stressful but I read a line somewhere from someone else that he wouldn't trade any of his time with his wife - even the illness years.  Prayers for the repose of her soul. May she Rest in Peace.  Prayers for you in this time of loss.

Sorry for your loss. but she's in a better place and though it's not the same as seeing her physically, she's there with you always now whereever you are. And when you think about her which I'm sure is often even more so now, just close them eyes and you'll see her... I've not went through loosing my wife but did lose my best friend (my dad) a while back and someone told me this same thing and you know it works.

When the grief of loss is over and you look at the hole created in your life may you find that it has been filled with over fifty years of wonderful memories.

Doug's remark hits home for something i would like to say that has real value in comfort for you.

I to offer my condolences. I will offer my prayers up for this time of grief. Stay close to friends and families and remember your wife's well times. I remember when my mother passed away 8 years ago after 65 years of marriage my dad often spoke of there great times I had not heard before and he seemed to enjoy the sharing. He commented he often came in to tell mom something only to realize she was not in her chair. He would laugh to himself and tell her anyway. take care
