Scrappile Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 Do not despair, Steve, you have done tough ones before. I just finish cutting my toughest one so far, last evening. Now I have to get it clean up and finished and framed. I have worked on to over the past two months and used over 3 doz. blades. I have to confess, I started that turkey one over a year ago and finally gave up on it. Maybe I will give it another try, I have learned a few things since then. I see you have that Seyco drill thingy. How do you like it? Scrolling Steve 1 Quote

Thanks for the encouragement Paul !.....The Seyco drill press is a gift from my wife, I looked at it but thought it was too much to pay...She got it for me for Christmas and i love it. Quote

Yeah it is pricey,I have the dremil plunge tool ,i can't remember if i ever used it for holes yet,Nice looking turkey.I would have enlarged it to make it not so fragile and delicate to cut.Looking good so far.Wish you were still doing a trivet ? :D :D :D Scrolling Steve 1 Quote
heppnerguy Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 A very ambitious piece. I love all the people here that are willing to tackle those tough patterns. I am not there yet. Maybe some day Dick heppnerguy Scrolling Steve 1 Quote

kywoodmaster Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 That would require many Valuim if I were the one doing it. Good luck and keep us posted. Scrolling Steve 1 Quote
spirithorse Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 Best of luck, Steve, I sure hope you are going to stack cut to make all that time seem more worth-while. Since you are already cutting one, you could still sell the second (or more) cheaply and still be money ahead. Sometimes stack cutting also makes the project easier to cut and less worry about chip-outs. God Bless! Spirithorse Scrolling Steve 1 Quote

spirithorse Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 Sorry to hear that. It's still not too late if you are still in the hole drilling stage!I wish you the best of success with the cutting. God Bless! Spirithorse Quote
ubgoofy2003 Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 Steve, just saw your project today & wish you good luck. I don't think 250 cuts will be even close for a finish. I have done some that took over 7 or 800 cuts to finish & it is a trying task. You will be pleased when it is all finished, for you to gaze upon. Thanks for the look. Quote
Sparkey Posted October 14, 2015 Report Posted October 14, 2015 One hole at a time. Can't wait to see it done. Quote
