At my request my wife got me a set of work tunes headphones for Christmas, I am amazed at how well they work. Even with my planer and air compressor going it muffles them to a whisper and i can still hear my music as clear as a bell. It sure beats the radio blasting in my shop. Picked them up at Lowes for around $60.

I have one too,but my head is to big or the tension is to strong on the head band and hurts my head.

Sully, you will love these! I have had a set for about 3 years and use them constantly! Here is a tip to save on the double A batteries, get 4 or 6, however they are packaged, rechargeable double A batteries along with a charger and you will always have a set ready to go. The head set is fairly easy on batteries but you will always have them handy!

Sully those a great. I have used them for several years same set. Use them on the mower and in the shop and yes it does help muffle the wife. I also found if the Scroll saw is not too far away and your radio plays CDs and you and has a plug in for audio jack then you can hook up to the radio and ear phones save the battery and listen to your own music.

Great news, Sully, and glad to see you back on the forum!
I'm just wondering if you can wear these comfortably with eye protection?
I just use common ear muffs or what-ever you call them but, I usually

find myself removing my glasses. I know I shouldn't but, I have trouble

wearing both.

God Bless! Spirithorse

The only music when I am working is my Saw.I had music in my shop  some time back and I was listing to Willy Nelson and lost consternation and now I have 1 1/2 thumbs so now I don't have any thing to distract me. my wife calls me on my phon when she needs me.

Roly,

Care to enlighten us as to WHY you might be concerned??

Well my machine is behind the door and she scares the crap out of me just as I'm on the delicate part. I think that's a good enough reason plus she calls my for a cuppa when it's ready, oh and she don't like coming out in the rain.
