Frank Pellow Posted December 21, 2016 Report Posted December 21, 2016 (edited) Dan: You got to dial your phone? We had to talk to the operator. MTCowpoke22: You had more than one channel? When TV finally arrived in our region in the late 1950s, we only received one channel. I'm old enough and I grew up in a remote enough rural region that I could add a lot of things such as: -Hauling logs out of the bush using a team of horses (heck, even knowing how to harness a team of horses) -Cutting ice on the lake to store over the summer months in sawdust in the icehouse -Stooking wheat sheaves by hand -Getting up early in the morning to add coal to the furnace so that it would not go out -Scraping ice off the inside of my bedroom window when the furnace did go out -etc. etc. etc. Edited December 21, 2016 by Frank Pellow MTCowpoke22 1 Quote

MTCowpoke22 Posted December 21, 2016 Report Posted December 21, 2016 (edited) Frank, we had 3 Channels. Two from North Dakota and one from Canada. It was weird watching Sesame Street in French. And I second ya on the teams and hauling wood. I did that for quite a few years when I was younger. Edited December 21, 2016 by MTCowpoke22 Quote
