Dak0ta52 Posted February 2, 2024 Report Posted February 2, 2024 For Christmas I purchased a greenhouse popup that is 6X8. (A gift to myself) I have my saw, a table to hold my blade rack and another small table to hold a 1500 watt heater. In most cases I have to cut the heat back to low. So far it has worked great. I have the 30-inch Pegas but someone with a smaller saw could possibly go with a smaller tent. I used a propane Buddy torpedo heater before switching to what I have now. It worked as long as you were working in front of the heater. My shop is so well ventilated I didn't have to worry about carbon monoxide. Besides, that little Buddy heater loved propane. Randyw81 Posted February 3, 2024 Report Posted February 3, 2024 Your heating system is more hi-tech than mine. My setup is similar but I don't have a fan yet! ChelCass 1 Quote

The fan made a huge difference. It's only a one car garage and it used to take a long time to warm up, not any more,,, Quote
JimNC Posted February 3, 2024 Report Posted February 3, 2024 I have a small shop and use a Buddy heater with build-in fan. I put heater in front of door and leave the door ajar (for make up air), propane tank outside, a window on other side slightly open. I do a lot of my sanding and sawing outside on the shop's deck. If I want to work in the shop I start the heater a hour or so before, and shut down at night. My paints and glues are kept inside. Cheap and it works for me. Quote
Sycamore67 Posted February 3, 2024 Report Posted February 3, 2024 I use a small propane torpedo style heater in my garage occasionally. I also will take a carbon monoxide monitor in the garage. The one thing I really notice is the high humidity that the things produce. jimmyG 1 Quote

Sycamore67 Posted February 3, 2024 Report Posted February 3, 2024 Any propane heater puts out a lot of moisture. if they are running properly, there is mainly CO2 and very little CO. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
