Travis Posted July 1, 2025 Report Posted July 1, 2025 Now that the weather has been nicer, I've been seeing a lot of classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods, and motorcycles on the road lately. I always enjoy seeing clubs have impromptu car shows at some greasy spoon diner. So this scroll saw challenge, we're celebrating our love of wheels and the open road. Any car or motorcycle project can be posted. If you're looking for something to cut, check out the Transportation category in the Pattern Library. Tons of cool stuff in there. Enjoy! Popular Post munzieb Posted July 2, 2025 Popular Post Report Posted July 2, 2025 Cars! I got lots of cars! I did all of the designs except the 2 Studebakers. They are done by Charles Dearing at Wood Visions. The '57 Hawk has 400 holes in the grill, ugh! I have gifted a fair amount over the years. Fab4, kmmcrafts, danny and 11 others 11 3 Quote
Wichman Posted July 2, 2025 Report Posted July 2, 2025 About the only car related project I've done is a scrolled out a throttle plate for a International carburator. Worked like a charm for the rest of the vehicle life. Weirdest project as well, wired the silly thing on with pipe cleaners. Scrappile and GPscroller 1 1 Quote
Scrappile Posted July 2, 2025 Report Posted July 2, 2025 I knew @munzieb would have a real response to this thread. To add to his, here are my two. Patterns done by him. Both cars I owned. The Alpha was the first car I purchased after my discharge from the service. I saved the whole time I was in the service to buy a sportscar when I got out. The second one, Sunbeam Tiger, was my favorite car of all I have owned. Poor Man's Cobra. Had a V8 stuffed into it. Awesome little car. Fab4, munzieb, jerry walters and 4 others 7 Quote
Popular Post Dak0ta52 Posted July 3, 2025 Popular Post Report Posted July 3, 2025 I've cut a few "Transportation" worthy pieces. The motorcycle was challenging because of the long narrow strips and the fins on the motor. However, the stagecoach is a piece that was most challenging. If I remember correctly it is a few holes short of 1500. To me, completing a piece that tests my abilities is very rewarding. munzieb, kmmcrafts, Kris Martinson and 9 others 12 Quote

Popular Post Millwab Posted July 8, 2025 Popular Post Report Posted July 8, 2025 A friend asked me to cut a puzzle of her dad’s MG.
