Charlie E Posted December 10, 2025 Author Report Posted December 10, 2025 Thank you! I'm doing well except for some lingering soreness that make things like breaking the seal on a jelly jar tough. Hopefully that will pass with time as I love PBJs. meflick 1 Quote

Scrappile Posted December 23, 2025 Report Posted December 23, 2025 I love Charlie's cross so I found a piece of pretty Black Walnut I want to scroll it in. First I wanted to play around a bit. I took some scape 1/4" bb and stained one piece left another piece nature, to get an idea of what it would look like inlaid. This is rough, no finishing' no hiding the holes. It has some promise. Then I wanted to try some relief cutting with it. Again, no finishing just to get an idea of what it might look like. Of the two, I think I like the relief cut best The result is I and going with just cutting as is. I do not want to take a chance of wasting a nice piece of Black Walnut. BadBob and Charlie E 2 Quote
Charlie E Posted December 24, 2025 Author Report Posted December 24, 2025 I like the idea of the relief cutting too Paul. I may try that using Walnut and Oak one of these days. I can’t really claim this pattern as my own. Just one I modified a good bit to my liking. Quote
