That is a very beautiful piece of art!

Johnson Paste wax, that is what I use on all my tool table tops.  Still using the same can I purchased 40 years ago.  Did not know you could. still purchase it.  Amazon, only  $224 for 16oz cans!

The wax is left over from when my mother-in-law sold her house.  That was around 2000!  I keep forgetting it is there.

beautiful artful piece, can I ask what do you cut ash with, what size blade....ive tried cutting ash with number 9 and I found it still to be  a chore

This was all cut with a MG#5.  I didn't find it an issue.

thanx. Im not there yet I guess

using a larger blade as I do makes tight turns more of a chore, as I do alot of backing out of blade, but for me its about the accuracy. I hope to get to that point one day

Even with a smaller blade, I also do a lot of backing out.

It is certainly fulfilling when all the bits come together.  Also can be very frustrating when they don't.

I have the same problem sometimes as I am gluing the peaces after I have fit them all together and find they somehow are not getting back in place perfectly now.
