Purple painters tape is more delicate. I haven;t used it myself, the blue has never given me a problem.

Dropped many projects. Some that I was worried. About didn't break, and others that I thought were pretty stout broke or shattered.

Isn't it great that you can use you're cutouts as a different project instead of throwing them away. Nice cutting.

Jealous. Would love that to hang on wall. you cut amazingly well.

Took it apart. Connecting arm gouged badly, eccentric cam worn out and won't stay on. Washers worn to nothing, put back together and variable speed going in and out. OH Well. I'm done for awhile. I'll try to contribute by making patterns and keeping in touch. Thanks for all the advice and help.

I think I'm going to ask my buddy at work if I can borrow his. he has it put away in storage. And i have another friend that is a woodworker that may be able to help me out on the repairs.

Negative on the self repair. Watched video, not one to turn wrenches. It looked to me like brain surgury. would love to upgrade to an ex30 - $1020.00 is a lot of money I don't have. ex21 n $899.00 is also a lot. Don't want a used DeWalt, or a new type 2 . No matter what happens this saw will never leave my possesion, it was my brothers before he passed

I have been using the DeWalt 788 for a long time now and it started making this God awful noise the other day. I ignored it and this morning I came out to cut on one off my projects. It was really bad. Called to see about repairs and the guy gave me a price I am not comfortable with. $300.00 max repair, two month wait. I guess I'm done. Can't afford that !

I was cutting the last hole on one project when something out of the corner of my eye got my attention, a quick glance and a wood chatter later --- BLAM whole center of project deleted from pic, WE ALL KNOW THE PAIN OF DESIGNER FIREWOOD- If not - I would say your are very new to woodworking

OK, So I got the stain choice, (Golden Oak) - Good Dipped the Cross and Base In Stain (Golden Oak ) - Good Wiped excess stain ( Golden Oak ) off of Cross and Base - Good Took Pics of freshly stained Cross and Base - Good Set aside overnight for stain ( Golden Oak ) to dry - Good Next day, came straight home from work to put clearcoat on - WHAT THE H. E. Double Hockey Sticks Is this
